Go to beta.swype.com and get the swype keyboard. Then find the tips and tricks videos on youtube and never use a normal keyboard again. If you listen to podcasts then Doggcatcher is great.

I can't find Swype in the market.  Has it been rebranded or summat?

Dolphin as a browser
ChompSMS for my texts
Advanced Task Killer to kill apps

Need to get a better music player than the default, checking online Mixzing seems to be the player of choice.  Anyone think otherwise?

Has anyone rooted their Android phone?

I downloaded an app to do it at the weekend which worked but made everything run ridiculously slower so I disabled it.

It's not in the market, HF. Never has been. Go to beta.swype.com and get it. It'll be the best thing you ever do with your phone.
