Just read the article.
The council are in the wrong here.
They're within their rights to keep signs as they wish, but not to write to the media telling them not to use the new name. Whether we like it or not, it has f*ck all to do with the council.

Seems strange the council didn't kick up this much fuss when Newcastle Brown Ale stopped being made anywhere near Newcastle.
The soul of man has been given wings, and at last he is beginning to fly. He is flying into the rainbow — into the light of hope, into the future, the glorious future that belongs to you, to me and to all of us. Look up, Hannah. Look up.

Seems strange for the club to bring the Olympics into it when the official 2012 pitch was sold on the back of St James' Park, and the official site still refers to it as such....

In this sense, the council are spot on to ask media outlets to refer to the ground using the same terms thousands of visitors to the region have had it sold to them, for an event which will bring in more commercial income for the club and the region than any Sports Direct name change.

It does aye . Grounds have to be 'neutral' in that respect . Changing rooms have to be altered too strangely !

I can see why the changing rooms need altering- the home dressing room is streets ahead of the away one in terms of size and facilities etc, ( least it was last time I did the tour), they'll need to be equalised.

fuck me i really really hate that advertising, it's so tacky.
So Jim, have I ever told you about the old country? The songs! Oh Jim, they'd melt your face.
"Ohh I live in a shoe on Moore Street, I'm a prostitute from Newry".
