b0rked, thats what the kids say n'wadays dont they?
Anyways, I got a virus yesterday and its b0rked my lappy. I booted in safe mode and did a scan and its found nothing more than what it blocked last time. I.e it f@cking allowed it access, then found it again then blocked it then deleted it.
Now, everytime I boot up in normal mode I get a Blue Screen.
Is it a format jobbie? I am a little worried about a BSOD isnt that a hardware issue normally?

Blue screen isn't usually a virus. did you get an alert in your AV?
Have you installed any new software/hardware recently?
There's no need to format it. As if it gets into safemode, you just need to work out what's causing the conflict (blue screen).
If you havent installed anything recently (check add/remove programs), just going into safe mode and switching off all the none Microsoft apps > Start > Run > msconfig. If that allows you to boot, you can add them back on a couple at a time to see which is causing it.

Aye, ill be doing that tonight.
I havent installed any Hware or Sware recently. The AV did kick up an alert and in my logs it was given access, thats when its caused damage and now its been deleted.

might have deleted one of the patched/replaced system files that the virus made but windows needs to run hence the failing to load but safe modes grand because it's not trying to look for the required file.
So Jim, have I ever told you about the old country? The songs! Oh Jim, they'd melt your face.
"Ohh I live in a shoe on Moore Street, I'm a prostitute from Newry".

Most AV programs use quarantine, so you should be able undo any damage. Check the vendor website.

do you have any system restore points?
> start > all program > accessories > system tools > system restore
if there's none I'd do what Ant said and run a Start-up repair

yeah thats some spamware untick it, but there will be more than just that
infact i'd bet that unticking it will just create a new one/retick of it when you next restart
