  1. Past hour
  2. Posted mine and the wife's local election postal votes this morning. I never normally bother with local elections, so hopefully there's people like me all over the country voting just purely out of spite and to make things extra uncomfortable for Sunak next Friday. I know results locally are Labour whatever happens, but I'm doing my bit for turnout. Others elsewhere can do their bit to boot Tories out.
  3. Any kind of Europe would be an excellent return on this season and with the games we have left, we've got a good shot at it. Plus, even though I don't get to go to games much (if at all) playing some random Latvian team is tonnes of fun.
  4. Emery plays the same suicidal high line, Howe stuck with it for too long as well. With the right keeper you can get away with it more often than not. Villa have Martinez and we have Pope so we can rely on them, not sure Vicario is the same profile of keeper though
  5. Aye, sixth then becomes Europa Conference.
  6. If Man Utd finish 7th but win the FA Cup, does the second Europa League spot go to them rather than to whoever finishes 6th in the league?
  7. To be fair the Man Utd fans I know are pretty reasonable. They don't think £20m is a fair price but agree £2m is just them chancing their arm. But then I'm in Cheshire, so it's not like I'm having to explain it with crayons for lads from Longsight or Moss Side. Mind, even the lads I do know still have that sense of entitlement. I'm sure I said it on here before, but some were bemoaning how dominant Man City are and how that's made the league boring. I pointed out the irony with a "What? Like you lot in the 90s?" Unsurprisingly they're in favour of PSR, to stop 'mental spending'. 😂 They also agree with scrapping replays, because they've so many injuries. Like I said, that sense of entitlement remains.
  8. You might want to book the next 6 years off after today.
  9. I have been to Hill 70 memorial! I still find it a bit overwhelming when driving through the Somme region etc where you're driving past cemetery after cemetery. RIP Great Uncle Gordon.
  10. Booked the day off today. Entirely coincidental.
  11. I still use a Eurovision chatroom on IRC.
  12. I think he's been found out. You can play that high line in the SPL because of the relative quality of Celtic vs the rest of the league. You just can't do it in a stronger league - even Man City would lose too many games to win the league if he tried it with their squad. Looked mint when he first turned up, and he was a breath of fresh air in terms of interviews etc. But I think they're in for a much tougher season next time out. Which is great news for us.
  13. It's the NW red cunt massive sense of entitlement syndrome. Your neck of the woods now, fish, are you now desensitised to it?
  14. So, had confirmation from MoD that DNA comparison is positive, we've found my Great Uncle Gordon, remains recovery site shown below in red circle (now a major hospital). Next will be his interment service, full military honours etc. Likely next year 110 years to the day after he was killed.
  15. What was the way they behaved over Lingard then? Which was worse because they didn’t even want him or were giving him a game and he was out of contract at the end of that season.
  16. This is how this place ends isn't it? Gemmmill "ooooh, me pace maker went on the blink again, had to get a new battery put in" NJS "Eeeeeh, I'm blind as a bat me, hope those new corneas work...." Alex "Aye, me knee replacement is top notch" Wykiki "'kin t'hell. Ave tha seen tha waiting list for t'hip relacement? Tory cunts" Etc. Old, decrepit, falling to bits. Using forum technology which the kids can't believe doesn't belong in Beamish, moaning about Tik Tok and FFP until space year 2050, then silence.
  17. Still don't understand the Man Utd fans reaction to is holding a man to the terms in his contract? Apparently it's small time to state that they either pay an acceptable amount of compensation, or they wait until his gardening leave finishes.
  18. Well, maybe just TikTok. I do like Fannies.
  19. That's not Yorkshire enough Some cunt (Gemmill) will be along soon to sort that.
  20. 'Hmmm, that young lad seems a bit quiet over there. I know what'll bring him out of his shell, I'll carry a massive microwave over to his desk and get him to lift it from there to the canteen'.
  21. Berkeley subbies face six weeks without payments | Construction Enquirer News How the fuck are they allowed to do this? Tory CUNTS
  22. We have a junior in the office and he's a bit of an introvert. I have tried over the last few weeks to chat to him more, just about owt really rather than graft. Anyways, due to technology advances etc juniors nowadays don't do about 90% of what I had to do! I was running to the chemist to get photos developed, running to print shops to get drawings copied, going to the post office etc. But now with emails, smart phones etc, they don't have to do that. I am not pining for the old days, but I believe that made me confident in getting around the office to speak to people and ask questions etc. I also feel it made me earn my stripes. My current office the microwave is fucking RANK. So I bought a new one. It arrived yesterday. So this morning, I put it on his desk with a note to swap it out for the old one. FUCK ME It's caused a right uproar. Admin lass, sorry 'office and finance manager' (She answers the phone, opens the post and books meetings in), said I should have done it. Young bairn comes in, asks what he needs to do with the microwave. I explain he looks confused. Fuck me. DO WHAT YOUR'E ASKED YOU TIKTOK FANNY!
  23. Hope you have a good day, Gemmill!
  24. Aye good luck. A mate had his done a few weeks back, pretty standard nowadays. But take care.
