  1. The one thing I was banking on in a no deal scenario was that Renton would lose his job. The news that he has a relatively secure position has taken the shine right off. Livid.

  4. I argued he was when his refusal to compromise on a few things (i.e "being principled") probably ensured the Tories just about got away with it at the last General Election. I honestly think he'll have been delighted with the gallant loser tag and was shitting it when the exit polls suggested it was going to be a lot closer than expected.

  5. Let's hope Ashley chokes to death on one of his 5000 calorie dinners before the seasons out because let's be real that's the only way he's going. He's got it to easy here for the way he's treated our club and as for Charnely he's literally completely escaped the shit he deserves for spending his life being Ashley's evil little thumb headed yes man hope he gets a nice bonus this summer for his daily afternoon knelt under Ashley's desk nosh off sessions the fat faced fucking slug. Ashley delivered us hope in Rafa (by accident) and now he's proceeded to chuck that hope in our faces and laugh at us again, if I could only type what I was really wishing upon him right now you better be praying to god Ashley

  7. Excellent piece. Depressing to read but nice to see some decent analysis beyond the usual cliches thrown at the club and its supporters. Here's the link to the actual article rather than just the homepage btw: https://www.football365.com/news/newcastle-the-club-where-tomorrow-never-comes

  9. I'd definitely take him, I don't think a reliable striker is realistically something we can get tbh, they're all a bit flaky once you get down past the very top clubs. I'd definitely have Origi over any of the others we've been linked with so far this summer.

  10. Let me get this straight, the reason Brexit is a shit show is because Labour haven't meekly agreed with the government? Now, I don't follow politics half as much as the rest of you, but I see loads of stories and hear loads of complaints that Labour don't provide actual opposition. End of the day, Brexit is the result of a power struggle in the Conservative party and subsequent lies from the Leave side, right? Not sure how CT can blame Labour for this omnishambles. It's like, 25 years ago, blaming the lawyer for the Jurassic Park Dinosaur incident.

  12. "Class" From the bloke that brushed off Trophyshy's redundancy with absolutely no compassion. Not to mention that your favourite hobby is logging on here to wind people up about the things they're passionate about. When it was football, you could pass it off as you being a typical armchair gobshite but when it's politics or Brexit, and you're wilfully pushing people's anxieties over wages, healthcare and their children's futures, it crosses the line from harmless contrariness to you just being a grossly unlikable character. And then you come on with your photos of hot tubs or whatever that big paddling pool was and it becomes apparent that your whole out-facing personality is based directly on the most contemptible Tories imaginable. Hoping that a veneer of wacky purchases and Dear Diary bullshit ramblings help cover up a festering pit of genuinely detestable views and a total lack of empathy, understanding and a "I'm alright, Jack" stripe running right down your back.
