  1. Forest look like they have the easiest run in though. Leicester and West Ham up next which I think they’ll get 6 points from.
  2. I don’t want him to leave either but we aren’t going to win the league in Isaks time year so let’s get a boat load of money, flesh the squad out and win the europa league. The world keeps turning.
  3. I think he was trying to say he is sorry for scoring but he is here (as in Brighton) now.
  4. Pessimists are rarely disappointed. As I said earlier though I would quite like a Europa league adventure so I’m satisfied with whatever happens from now on in.
  5. Forest have got Leicester next then West Ham. That’s going to guarantee them 4 points (most likely 6). We have two really tough games. I’d snap your hands off for a win v Chelsea and defeat at Arsenal right now.
  6. I think the next weekends fixtures will be make or break. Newcastle v Chelsea Bournemouth v Villa. Villa have Spurs and Man Utd after that. ABSOLUTE BANKER 6 points.
  7. Draw with Chelsea, lose at Arsenal, win v Everton. Will that be enough? I don’t think Chelsea will be an easy game as I’ve stated many times here. Their starting eleven is very good and can beat anyone on their day. Jackson being back is also a big boost, as although he is a shit finisher he leads the line decently for them.
  8. Great post @thebrokendoll. i also think the wave of europhia when KK was manager tops it. The first and probably last time I cried at match was the 7-1 Leicester festival game when the entire crowd were singing the Andy Cole song (even East Stand). That was when I was around 12-13 and had been watching football since 5. All id known was us being shit but i still loved it when we had Kevin Dillon and Billy Askew patrolling the midfield. I probably didn’t even understand the tactical side at that point (first full season ticket was 88-89) but I loved the smell of bovril and fags and atmosphere was intoxicating. My Dad passed about over 10 years ago and we’d always go together. I associate going to the match with him and I hope my lads grow up the same. I wished he was around to see the cup win.
  9. Trump must have sniffed some extra strong glue over night: 1) 100% tariffs on non US movies stating its “a threat to national security”. 2) Ordered the reopening of Alcatraz for violent criminals. 😂
  10. 1-1 Full time. Still tight up there.
  11. My thoughts from being there..We didn’t deserve to lose that and probably may have deserved to just edge it. These are a proper bogey team for us so I would have snapped your hand off for a point beforehand. isak was finding lovely pockets of space when he went to #10. Barnes had a good game as did all the defenders. Burn was pretty faultless. Tonali had an off day. Willock took up some lovely positions and had some good runs but nothing came off for him. Hopefully he sharpens up with more minutes. i genuinely thought they were going to over turn a third penalty in the stadium as the Brighton players were adamant it wasn’t. lots of empty seats in the away end.
  12. Just back from the game. What did you think the red card was for? It’s something I picked up during the match.
  13. Aye. That was my thinking. The finances and squad would work itself out as we’d buy appropriately for the competition we are in. We have zero chance of winning the CL but you’re right that in terms of growth, it would be better for the club. However from a fans perspective we’d have a good shot at another trophy. I’d rather be in the CL but realistically we are probably a few years off even mounting a title challenge even with CL money. I’d happily stall a year or 2 of progress to win that cup (not guaranteed of course). The feeling of winning the league cup was great as a fan.
  14. If we get Europa we’d have a good chance of winning that anyway. Win. win.
  15. Bologna (5th) v Juve (4th) tomorrow. Oof.
  16. Arsenal are away to Liverpool next.
  17. I can see Man City pipping Arsenal if they lose this. It would be hilarious if they finished 4th and lost in the CL semi final.
  18. i guess the proof will be in the pudding. It’s easy to write off other teams but not our own. Villa have had a shit result in the Semis (where they looked knackered) but now that’s out their system I think they’ll win all their games, with only Bournemouth being the doubt.
  19. you’ve seen Man United this season, yeah ? Agree that Bournemouth will be the big test though.
  20. Sundnilland rock bottom of the form guide. Coventry 6th.
