  1. With the Premier players in your side and the result against Reading I feared a battering. To be honest in the end I was a little unimpressed by your boys you weren't very convincing. Ameobi took his goal well, but overall I thought we passed the ball better, we had more possession (51%) despite being the away side, Jermaine Johnson seemed to terrify Coloccini, we just lacked a cutting edge and couldn't do enough with the ball in the final third. You created more chances and deserved to win overall but Harper saved your bacon right at the end from Franny and with a terrific save from Gray's free kick. I liked the look of your left winger he was excellent and really caused Buxton problems. Taylor at the back looked a solid, composed player too. If you keep that side together and stay clear of injuries you should be playoffs at the very least. Ameobi looks like he'll be a very good player at this level. It was a great crowd (credit to you for that) and it produced a very good atmosphere. With all the stuff you have going on you did your team proud. I look forward to your visit and I hope we can have a similar atmosphere when you visit. Make sure you sell out your allocation. Sunderland did when we last played them so don't let us down. I thought we acquitted ourselves very well and going from that display I'm confident we can take something off you at Hillsborough. I'm pretty sure our starting XI will be less than £70k a week wages. If Coloccini is on that alone you are being robbed. He struggled. His defensive partner Taylor looked far more assured and dealt with things a lot better.
  2. There will be more than 2800 of us in the ground. It will probably either be Gray or Esajas on the left wing.
  3. I'm setting off in half an hour so enjoy the game tonight lads and lasses. Obviously I hope we absolutely batter you. 1) Jermaine Johnson is the main one I would look out for. Number 23 he is a Jamaican winger who will run at your defenders at pretty much every opportunity. 2 goals already this season and on his day he can be a real handful. His pace is a great outlet and if he is on form (which he is) he will cause you problems. I imagine we will be counter attacking a lot tonight and his pace will be used. What are your full backs like? Marcus Tudgay number 7 is full of energy and will run non-stop for 90 minutes. He chases everything and nothing is a lost cause. He has scored some good goals in his time (notably the ones at Leicester away and at the Lane last season) and is also very strong in the air for his height. We desperately need a partner for him. Jeffers has been a terrible signing for us so far. Ettienne Esajas number 11 (if he plays it could be Michael Gray) is a Dutch left winger and is technically very strong. Great touch and a very good left foot. He tends to fade in and out of games though. Tommy Spurr number 2 left back. He has also scored quite a few long range shots in his time. Very good left peg and not afraid to shoot from distance. 2) I don't know a huge amount about your team to be honest but I always liked the look of Guthrie on the TV. 3) The division is next to impossible to predict. I think I predicted 9th at the beginning of the season. It depends on our start. If we keep our key players, stay free of injuries, use the loan market well, and if we can get investment money in January then I would like to think we can make a go of the playoffs. Our current squad could finish anywhere from 5th to near the bottom. I fancy your boys, Boro, WBA and Cardiff to be the challengers this season. The other two playoff places could be up for grabs but we could also finish much much lower down. 4) I fancy you to finish second behind West Brom. I'm not nearly as fat as him.
  4. Positive. If you want to think I'm a cunt that's fine by me. I can't even remember my first game at Hillsborough. I've been going along regularly with my old man (Sheffield born) since I was in nappies. He got me into Wednesday and decades later the bug has stuck. Champions League Final? I like your optimism! If in some amazing circumstance it did happen I would support Wednesday. I've had some great times watching Hearts too but I only really went to watch them because my friends did and I couldn't afford to go regularly to watch Wednesday. In a way I agree with what you say about local teams and I commend that. It's far better than the hoardes of plastic Celtic, Rangers, Liverpool and United fans.
  5. You could quite easily be an exception. I've never met you and you no doubt have a lot of good fans. Like I have already said I won't tar you all with the same brush.
  6. No agenda. The rest of your thread is there for all to see. I have pointed this out already. If you didn't have an agenda, why did you say the stuff backed up your pre-conceived notions of NUFC fans then? Especially when those views were not in the least way representative of the views on here? What I said was most fans that I had come across in my town. Many of them up here are arrogant and your club for that very reason is not popular amongst supporters of many clubs in Scotland. Sad for your club and the numerous good supporters you most likely have, but nonetheless true in my experience. As for an agenda I think it is fairly obvious that I don't have one. What would I gain from that? You seem to have very selective reading. Did you not read these bits? "I'm sure many of your lads and lasses are dead on. I am no bellend or glue sniffer and I won't tar you all with the same brush. As I said I wanted to have a chat with your lads and I came across a post that was disrespectful and incorrect. As I said on my post on our forum unfortunately a large propotion of your fans in Scotland seem to be of the same ilk." I've met many good Newcastle fans, as I have fans of every club. However as I said, many of your support in my experience, and especially in my home town are of the same mentality as Stevie. You are entitled to think what you like mate but I have no agenda. Fairly obvious you wanted to portray us in a certain way on your board. Anyone reading your thread on your board can see that. I'm not bothered to be honest. I don't have a view on Sheffield Wednesday fans as I've only met about 3 of them in my life. As for "You seem to have very selective reading" Mr. Kettle, meet Mr. Pot. Think what you like I don't care. No agenda. The rest of your thread is there for all to see. I have pointed this out already. This bloke thinks I'm a sweaty because I have Arthurs Seat in my pic. Look mate if I was from Edinburgh I wouldn't be supporting an English club because David Hurst or Ginola was my hero as a kid, I'd support Hibs or Hearts, because they'd be my local clubs, and proper fans support their local clubs. I'm not a proper fan now. Do you not have any Newcastle fans elsewhere around the country? I take it they're not proper fans too?

  8. No agenda. The rest of your thread is there for all to see. I have pointed this out already. Future british politician then? Current bitter Sheff Wed fan tbh. Probably the only one in Edinburgh Definitely not bitter or the only Wednesday fan in Edinburgh.
  9. I meant in the football and you know it. Yellow.
  10. It has taken us a long time to get back on our feet. Many comparisons can be drawn with the way we were run and how you are now. No fans want to see their club being run badly and we had it for years. We have a very good support and I am sure we will do ourselves proud on Wednesday night. Fair play pal but I still hope we pump you Wednesday night! No bad feelings here.
  11. How's it make us look like twats? What have I said which is incorrect? We have the potential to be doing much better than we are and you know it. Sleeping giant maybe not, we don't consider ourselves a giant, but your comment was disrespectful and you have made up utter rubbish about fan numbers. We didn't bring many in the 80s and 90s? Your poster who has come onto our forum has proved you wrong on that front. Yet again we are bringing up a big support Wednesday night. Many more than our allocation too. 10,000 fans at Hillsborough? News to me. When you were under Jim Smith we played you three days before our cup final win at your place in front of sub 20,000. We brought a large number of that total too. You have brought big crowds but never 10,000. When the guy above spouts stuff like he has it doesn't help. He is coming across well. I'm sure many of your lads and lasses are dead on. I am no bellend or glue sniffer and I won't tar you all with the same brush. As I said I wanted to have a chat with your lads and I came across a post that was disrespectful and incorrect. I'm looking forward to Wednesday, hopefully it's a good game and we can enjoy a good night out after the match too. The rest of the thread is there for all to see. I didn't hide it. It is another big headed arrogant comment though isn't it. I've met many good Newcastle fans, as I have fans of every club. However as I said, many of your support in my experience, and especially in my home town are of the same mentality as Stevie. I'm going for more than six myths in his post. 6-10 on the spread bet. Point them out then
