I never understood the point in them I thought the point of a kindle was the easy on the eye ink type reading malarkey. Once it turns into a backlit tablet it seems a bit pointless. Or just a budget tablet to add to the rest of them

I use a 128gb ssd to run OS, apps and shit. I symlinked my documents, downloads, music folders etc... to my hdd. The difference seemed none existent at first until I went back to the moving drive for a couple of weeks after sending the faulty ssd back to be replaced. It was a feeling like going from broadband back to dial up. There isn't really any need to have a 2tb ssd as you just wouldn't notice the speed difference in opening documents. That said...If you are in to gaming or using softsynths for music production it would be nice to have it all on the ssd.

After browsing this thread, it seems that the majority of the misery brought to everybody's lives is 100% down to driving and road rage. If everyone gets rid of their cars and works from home life will be a pleasant experience

473 on ff, mac but 350ish for chrome and safari aa.com took a couple of seconds. You could have the fastest download speed in the world but if the server serves up the websites slow it won't make any difference.

The "marginal improvements" for a marginal increase in price. What the fuck do people expect from the next iphone? A built in swiss army knife and coffee machine? If you really don't like the improvements, then don't buy the bastard! I will be getting one to upgrade from my 3g - wasn't a fool like so many others that thought.."ooh, I'll get the 3gs, now the 4, and now the 4s". It's the same for things like photoshop. How many people buy cs2, cs3, cs4, cs5, cs5.5, cs6? Most people skip a few versions - common sense. As for the music malarkey...if that's your main goal in life, buy the device that suits your music needs but don't knock others that choose a different device to suit their different needs.

I've had my iphone for bloody ages...it's the 3g (not the 3gs...the old 3g) and it has always done the job perfectly for me. The only app I have that isn't included as standard is facebook. I don't see the need for all this app malarkey. I just need phone, email, web, message, alarm. The fact it all works happily along with my mac helps too. I intend to get the iphone 5 in a week or so hopefully just for the speed increase and battery life.
