  1. I can't see Dummett or Colo playing in this one. For me it will be Krul Hadaira Taylor Mbemba Janmaat Anita Sissoko Gjinaldum Aarons Cisse Mitrovic The problem with the above is ... Are Mbemba and Mitrovic match ready and can Aaron's actually handle 90 minutes due to him being injury prone. Result draw. Southampton have a European tie but I don't think newcastle will be up to taking advantage. McLaren will need time to be in a new style and players. I think the midfielders will be shocked to see the ball being played to them instead of looking up to see it flying over to the striker.
  2. We have John Carver... He worked with Bobby Robson so we should win this haha
  3. That and to make wanker signs at Pardew haha
  4. Does anyone know where I could secure a ticket for this match? I am going to be living in London at the time. If anyone knows anyone, etc. I am willing to pay a little bit on top for the trouble. I would love to go to my first competitive away game.
  5. To be honest it Fat Freddy wasn't immune to fucking something dirty and getting herpes
  6. Next he will come out with that he met Ronaldo by chance at the airport and he asked him when he was going to come the Real Madrid to show them the magic before Messi intervened and said Barcelona must ditch Tikka takka football in favour of Allardyces long ball
  7. Personally I think Neil Lennon would have been a good fit for Newcastle and say what you will but he done alright at Celtic. Frank De Boer would be a great choice as he plays football, De Jong our Marquee signing would play and would probably be played effectively. We would play total football however I think Mike Ashley wont go down this way, its too sensible and De Boer wont take the heat off him by head butting other players!
  8. I was at the match on Saturday. I got the SackPardew.com flier however as soon as I got in line to the Gallowgate end there was a steward to take it off me. A long story short, he said I wasnt allowed in and if I refused to give him the flier then he would have me escorted of NUFC property. The Gallowgate end wasnt really as Anti Pardew as I had hoped. There were a few get out of our club chants followed by Its never your fault Pardew, you dont know what you're doing and your getting sacked in the morning. When the second goal for Hull went in there was around a hundred that left the Gallowgate and when the final whistle blew, there was a sense of relief almost like Victory. I was disgusted to think that a draw, at home to Hull was anywhere near like that. There wasnt really any booing. Personally, the Hull goals were two bits of magic. The Jelavic strike, no one expected that and the long range effort you could see around 30 of them fly by however that one hit.
  9. Commentator : "Goalkeeper will be disappointed to be beaten at that angle" He'll be be gutted to be beaten by Obertan FFS
  10. Mbiwa is a really good defender who was captain of Montpellier, guided them to a league title and became a French international in the process. The problem is he has been Pardewed. This guy is seriously quick off the mark, strong and he was a very cultured centre back who could bring the ball out of defence like Colo. The problem lies in the fact he is a defender who needs a good centre back with him and to learn off. Colo wasn't great last season at all and appears to be in decline. I won't say he will be absolutely crap next season because he still has experience and positioning. Personally, I think Mbiwa needs to leave, not because he is a bad defender but because we have a coach who can't help him adapt to the game. This guy came highly rated off of Carr and in France. Maybe even Cabella might give him a lift.
  11. Pardews fucked up the whole team to be fair never mind Ben Arfa fucking Cisse and Cisse fucking Ben Arfa!
  12. Signing Cabella and De Jong could be a big way of fitting Ben Arfa back in the team. Unfortunately, I feel having a defender like Debuchy was never going to help Ben Arfa as he was never the type to get back and defend. If Pardew was a smart man (Doubtful), then he does have the makings of one very good midfield however he needs to shore up his defence and adventurous full backs come wingers like Debuchy are not going to help us. He would be better getting a defence minded full back with better positioning. I also think it's time to play Sissoko in his more favoured central position. Having him a Tiote in the defensive midfield, De Jong, Ben Arfa and Cabella as his attacking midfielders would give Newcastle a solid midfield. All we need is a good striker who stick the ball in the net... Use to be Cisse once upon a time.
  13. You're getting before my time with Kenny Samson! Watson was great, never understood why we sold him. I think Griffin was better when he left Newcastle and got more first team games. He put in a shift but he got caught out just like Simpson. I think Simpson kept on improving. I do think that Debuchy has the potential to become one of our better right backs. In a 4-3-3 I think he has the potential to thrive especially when we attack but when he goes, you then need Anita, Sissoko to realise we are now exposed on the right in case they need to cover. We bought Debuchy for his running and his ability to deliver cross after cross however we need to cover for his weakness and he needs to develop his defence.
  14. You must have a very short memory David considering we had the likes of Stephen Carr and Andy Griffin who were no better than Simpson. Especially Carr! I have never been so pleased to see a player leave the club. I would have expected Debuchy to get the hint in the first 6 months however I do believe he will improve if he gets the right coaching about getting back. If we really want to talk about poor full backs.... Celestine Babayaro
  15. His passing was actually 76% completion and I never expected that and I don't blame him for giving the ball back to the centre back when he Obertan as his option. He didn't exactly have Ben Arfa most of that time either due to his injury record. Danny Simpson also completed a lot more crosses in some seasons compared to others in the league. Not always however he made clearances off the goal line which won us matches. He was also an excellent shot blocker as well. I am not going to say he was the most amazing right back we ever had, that would be foolish however I would personally have Simpson ahead of Debuchy who looks like Simpson in his first season
  16. To be honest, Simpson isn't as bad as people made out. His first season he reminded me of a dog in the park. He was so excited to see the football he would run his hardest to get it. People forget that Simpson made a lot of goal line clearances that won us games. He did have the odd lapse but I would have signed the lad on a new contract. I agree with Santon on the right but I would play Dummett on the left. That lad proved against Nevas he was no mug. He is quite quick as well.
  17. It was a great night Tom. I took my mate down with me from work as I travel from Edinburgh. I was hoping Idols would have the usual low brow entertainment on but they didn't. I had the same opinion, Nikos still looked as if he could play and so did Solano who could still whip in a ball and his first touch has not left him. I even think he could beat Guti to a place in our starting line up. Asprilla still had a bit about him as well. I found it funny I couldn't make out Nolan from the retired players because he was as big and slow as them It was amazing to see us get 50k for our reserve goalkeeper as my work mates reminded me but it was good to see your childhood on a pitch right there. Maldini is still one sexy bastard! My only disappointment was the Newcastle strip, I could not make out some of the players half the time because their numbers did not stand out at all.
  18. Unfortunately, I have to be a Bayern Fan. I was very lucky to see Munich pick up the Deustche Miester shield at the Allianz last season against Ausburg. Their movement and ability is unreal. They have the right idea when it comes to football. The fans are given a lot more respect than over here that's for sure. Munich was buzzing during the title celebrations. Special shout out to the Ausburg fans at that match, they sang all game and hey avoided relegation. It was funny seeing Alex Manniger in goal for them as well!
  19. Santon... The right footer as a LM? I could see your point of having him be there as attacking left winger however for best part he can't cross with his left foot and more importantly, he is known for his trait of bringing the ball back on to his right foot for crosses when he does get in that position. We really need a left footed winger. We do actually have one in the squad with Ben Arfa but his ability on the right is more valuable. He can unleash in swinging shots, drive in to box with skill whilst Santon doesn't possess that. It would be like having Gutierrez on the left wing. Hard working defensively but wouldn't give us an attacking out put. Gutierrez is on his way down unfortunately. A lot of time has passed from the fella who burst on to the scene against Man Utd. He has lost his legs a little bit and unfortunately that was his main thing. Defending and protecting the left back and going on a run to get fouled. What did he offer after that? Certainly wasn't great crossing or passing ability. Good honest Pro is Jonas however I think he should be sold now.
  20. I felt sorry more for Debuchy in our whole defence. He had Ben Arfa and Sissoko in front of him and both of them left him really exposed. Sissoko started to cover up on the left hand side strangely whilst Ben Arfa went missing in defensive duties but you expect that of him. You look at that Man City team though and a lot of defences will struggle. I think our mistake was not letting Dummett play. The kid had the pace to keep up with Nevas and seemed to have enough to keep his threat down compared to Mbwia. I think Mbwia will come good though. Maybe not this season but next, got to remember he is only 23 which is young for a defender up against the likes of Dzeko, Augero, Nevas, Silva, Toure, Fernandinho. The only player we have that comes close to them boys is Colo far less any of our other defence. Sadly, I think Danny Simpson was a miss last night. He wasn't a fancy defender and he had his moments. He was solid though. Funny how we went down hill when Debuchy started. Also, I agree that Pardew got dealt a raw hand last season and its looking that way this season. We can all see that the team was set up for Cabaye to be playing and being our outlet for the pass to slice open City. Pardew had 2 choices, change the system on the day of the match which he had been working on for a week or play Gutierrez in with the hope it would work. I don't blame him for the option he took. It was safer. A midfield of Cabaye, Tiote and Sissoko would have offered so much more in terms of keeping possession and passing. Ultimately though... The biggest defence error was Taylor for the sending off combined with no Cabaye and a system that had been set up based around his strengths.
  21. I hear Barton is available and willing to take a pay cut as well!
  22. Spoke to a lad in work who is based in Paris. He says he is a very good player. A bit lazy however he will get you goals. Reckoned he was a bit of a Darren Bent style player. He also told me he loves a good toe poked goal as well. Same lads has been right about every player that has came our way. I personally think Gomis will be a good signing but I would rather Remy, Cisse and Ben Arfa in attack
  23. It's a black patch on the back if I remember correctly with a blue patch on the collar saying NUFC
