  1. Kind words from Sir Alex there but I'm not confident about this one, fingers crossed we don't embarrass ourselves and put in a similar performance as we did again City if we do come away with nothing. have you not flounced off yet ? We win a few games, and you come back, you sad arsehole. Do you still think the club is better off without Keegan and should be backing Wise and this DOF rubbish ? Wasn't your friend Fred in charge when Keegan got brassed off and resigned in 1998??
  2. Our net debt is £288m? ...but Ashley's got us financially stable and how much did we owe before the financial whizz kid took over ? Where are all the wannabee football accountants to comment on this thread ? You don't need to be an accountant to know that we now owe a lot less to banks and other lenders than we did when Freddie was forced to stop milking the club. "Freddie" again eh. OMG. Get a life. You raised the point about how much worse things are since Ashley took over from him. Didn't you realise? Sorry - I forgot you aren't able to answer questions.
  3. I just don't see the point of extending his contract now. He has got 2 years left at £65k a week. He isn't going to get that anywhere else. The club's stance should be - put in another good season and we will talk about an extension. If you don't like it then you can go to the first club that offers us the going rate for a 29 year old goal scoring midfielder. We don''t need another player on a 5 year contract who can then wile away the years into his mid thirties.

  5. What would the Chronicle know about it?
  6. If you think the majority of people on here don't think you are a complete idiot then your maths skills are up there with your understanding of football. unfortunately, I - and others who now agree with me - will be proved right in the long run, the only question is how long will it take before the penny drops with fuckwits like you. Go back to 1986. Okay name names. Who is it that has had their mind changed by the force of your facts and intellect. I won't hold my breath waiting for an answer. did you tell us back in 2005-2007 that Man City would be bought by Arabs ? Why did you want Fred out ? Why was he booed ? Why does any of this mean NUFC have to sell their best players and compete at the levels of Blackburn and Bolton ? Use what facts you can find and any intellect you can muster. I won't hold my breath waiting for an answer. Same old same old. Simple question gets no answer and a wacky reply.

  9. Thats exactly where we went wrong in the past. Ignore the extra million here and there and you soon have the whole squad looking to outdo the latest increase and find you are paying 90% of your turnover in wages and are stuck with players on long contracts that are no longer performing (Iknow you don't need me to give you examples).
  10. I take it you only spout this playground style abuse when you are safe behind your keybooard? I hope so for your sake.
  11. Don't you mean too many people asking you questions that you are totally incapable of answering? I think the reverse is true tbh. I'm dealing with facts, you and others are dealing with irrational hatred. So. You are 100% right and everyone else is stupid or irrational or a combination of the two. As has been said many times before on this thread, I hope you are able to find the professional help that you so badly need.
  12. Don't you mean too many people asking you questions that you are totally incapable of answering?
  13. Ashley is already doing better than Shepherd. He has got the club moving on an upward trajectory which is something your Fat Friend never managed. omg am I dealing with a 10 year old here No you are being asked to deal with facts which you have consistently struggled with.
  14. Ashley is already doing better than Shepherd. He has got the club moving on an upward trajectory which is something your Fat Friend never managed.
  15. The repayments are not in question, the mortgage is paid off. If however there were outstanding amounts then YES it would be 100% at Halls/Shepherds door for their crass mismanagement and raping of the club. what about the zero top 10 finishes, is that Shepherds fault too ? Or letting 3 goals in yesterday ? Got to be Fat Fred's fault. When he took over we were jousting with Man U for #1 position. Seven yeasrs later we had appointed Souness to try and mainytain mid-table mediocrity. That is some decline.
  16. As always you try and avoid the question which was: how is Ashley going to make shitloads of money out of the club?
  17. Shepherd never owned the club mate. And they still backed their managers and gave us one of the best teams in the country. THIS is typical of the bollocks and irrational hatred that I keep being asked to comment on. Over to you mancy. Shepherd was the managing director and a 29.9% sharehoder. He decided the company's dividend policy. He decided to pay himself and the Hall's dividends up to the point that it became illegal to pay any more. What part of this don't you accept? Shepherd never owned the club mate. Nobody with less than 30% of shares in a multi million pound business hires and fires the most important employees for starters. Is Sir John an idiot ? Would YOU allow someone else a free hand of a multi million pound business ? I can't be arsed with this, you're an idiot. They have ALL said that THEY all agreed to choose managers, fire managers etc. Are YOU really stupid enough to think a dividend of a few million quid a year was the difference between not winning the title or not, hence the booing for "only" finishing 5th ? Hilarious. When will we finish 5th under Mike Ashley ? Mike Ashley is going to make a shitload of money out of this club too, and give us struggle and relegation fights instead of european football and despicable trophy signings, what do you think of that ? You would rather play Shola Ameobi or sell any half decent player we find for a few bob to Spurs ? What an arsehole. See what I mean mancy ? Over to you again lad. You know that Fred ran it on behalf of the Hall/Shepherd combo who owned c. 75% of the shares, because Dougie wasn't up to it. Why do you try and deny this? Please explain how Ashley is going to make a shitload of money out of this when every successful major club across Europe is losing money hand over fist?

  19. Nobody, not one single person, who wanted "anybody but Fred", gave any reason regarding the forecast that a few clubs would be taken over by rich benefactors, especially clubs like Bolton and Birmingham which for some reason only they themselves know, has somehow impacted on NUFC that we have became a selling club again. The wanted him out because he "embarrassed them", along with the Halls took a meagre amount of money in dividends which had no impact on anything, bought trophy players, rented a warehouse, and they thought "anyone would do better" in terms of using the revenues better [even though it was the Halls and Shepherd who built them up in the first place] and took the ambition for granted. How many times do I have to say this. Stop moving the goalposts or backing those who are moving the goalposts because they can't hold their hands up and admit they got it massively wrong, allowing their hatred to get in the way of rational judgement and appreciation of the club becoming one of the biggest in the country and attempting to maximise the potential it has. This is the truth. Shepherd took all of the dividendsout that he could until it was not legally possible to pay any more.
  20. I have tried to explain it to you twice and failed. That is my lot. Perhaps there is someone on the board who works with children with special needs that could explain it better to you?
  21. Sorry Leazes it wasn't clear. Prior to 1998, run by Fletcher on behalf of the shareholders - good. 1998 onwards run by Shepherd on behalf of the shareholders - shit. Is that any better?
  22. Leazes I am sure that this has been said before but I will have another go. You are missing the point. We are all agreed that Hall/Fletcher/Keegan up to 1997 was great. No problems. When Shephrd took over it all went to shit. In 7 years it went from challenging ManU for top spot to appointing Graeme Souness and struggling to compete in the bottom half of the table. This was 7 years of bleeding the club dry, appointing new managers every other September when the previous idiot had already blown the transfer pot and buying useless trophy players rather than developing a squad. So please don't talk about the John Hall and Keegan when supporting Shepherd. Or trips to the San Siroand the Nou Camp. The European nights were a heritage left to Shepherd and in a few short years he pissed it all up the wall. Is that clear?
  23. Even Shepherd wasn't mad enough not to redevelop the ground at that point. The money that was available from the Pools Levy eliminated the risk. Unfortunately they chose to develop it in a way which limited the capacity (in commercially sensible terms) to 52,000. With a bit of foresight it could have been developed in a way that would have made 60,000+ a possibility.
  24. What is the value of a player though Ant? He's just turned 18 and has scored 15 senior goals. 15 more than Carroll at that age, 12 more than Shearer at that age. I've watched him for England U18s as well, if this kid doesn't make it then something is wrong, he's the real deal, big lad too. Worst case scenario is he's shite and we sell him for 6s to a Villa/Wigan type club. You boys can dream on with your prices. Whickham will go for North of £10m because he is English, a striker and has loads of potential. (like Carroll). And if you think that Chelsea would let go of Sturridge for £8m you need your bumps feeling. Treble that and you might be nearer.
  25. I suspect that other than one topic (which neither of us should mention) there will be quite a lot we would agree on.
