  1. Its like something from the playground, the judge should tell them both to grow up and fine them for wasting the courts time and public money.
  2. It will be good to see him bounce back.
  3. very good summing up wonder if he would have ever questioned one of Collinas decisions.
  4. young striker ... may be worth taking a punt on Jordan Rhodes.
  5. I`ve seen him play twice this season for MK Dons against Huddersfield, even in league 1 he looked out of his depth.
  6. the matches weren`t played in Soweto though, nearest was Ellis Park which is central Johannesburg. Don`t let me put you off going to support the Toon.
  7. Beware if you intend going, Pirates and Cheifs play in Soweto ... not a friendly place to be if you are not a local, in fact even if you are a local, apartheid may be dead but so will a white face be stepping in there without an armed gaurd.
  8. http://www.chronicle...72703-30950026/ Manager of the season, guess we all doubted the appointment but you can`t take away from him the progress we have made this season.
  9. It certainly is, at the time there was a newspaper that had done an interview with Budgies wife and she told them he slept with the keepers gloves on and with a football in the bed and gave interviews in his sleep to Gerald Sinstead, I asked her if it was true or if the reporter had exaggerated and she confirmed it was 100% right. nice bloke but mad as a ships cat.
  10. Cattermoles quote is one of the funniest things I`ve heard in a long time, Frankie Boyle must have written that for him as a wind up.
  11. My missus used to work for John `Budgie` Burridge when he had a sports shop in the newgate centre, had to go to his house in Durham one monday night, he was watching a game on sky, sitting in his living room with his football boots and keepers gloves on, bouncing a ball on the floor .. also went with him to toon v Chelsea game in the players lounge, met Keegan and all the players and Sir John Hall, bumped into Phillipe Albert in Jimmys .. nice bloke and Huge, talked to big Jack in Fitzgeralds, good crack. Have met Bobby Moncur, and was very pleased to meet David Craig in his newsagents shop in North Shields. Met Andy Cole when my missus bought me a limited edition print of him, he presented it to me at the club shop, got it professionally framed, gave it pride of place above the mantlepiece.. next day he was sold to ManUre ... bummer. My favourite meet was Ron McGarry .. he was working as a tilers mate on the same site as me, he was funny, great crack and a genuinely nice fella, said to him, went home last night and told my missus I had met my boyhood hero, he asked what she said and I said ... never fucking heard of him ... he just laughed.
  12. David Craig , best right back ever, hugely underrated.
  13. Though I am Newcastle through and through .. I live in Huddersfield and have a season ticket for the Galpharm, I could not believe the news ... I was at last nights game v Sheffield utd, It was a typical derby match, their goal was the result of slack defending at a corner .. however .. in 3 seasons Clarky has turned the club around, been to the play off finals twice, a 43 match unbeaten run in the league, only 3 defeats in 55 matches, 4th in the league and only 4 points from automatic promotion, profits from transfers, Leicester wanted Lee when they sacked Erickson butt Lee remained loyal to Huddersfield.. theres his thanks for his loyalty, if there has been any problem it has been too many home draws, but to sack him, especially with a 35 second phone call ... is a disgrace, I can only imagine Hoyle has another manager lined up, my guess is Warnock, rumour is Lee will go to Leeds, wherever he goes good luck to him, as far as I`m concerned he should still be at the Galpharm.
  14. I am a lifelong Newcsatle fan, like most on here, My first big hero was Ron McGarry, My Dad was a take it or leave it football fan, I was born and bred in Newcastle but now live in Huddersfield, my 3 sons are all black and whiters, though one lives in Durham (local) one lives in Nottingham and the other lives a mile from us in Huddersfield, My 6 year old Grandson was born here in Huddersfield... he wears his Newcastle strip with pride, has his heritage stone at SJP .. .. but we both have a season ticket at Huddersfield Town, so it is possible to follow two teams.. of course the black and white blood runs through my veins.. and I guess it always will, but I do get excited (at times) watching the Terriers.
  15. I really can not understand tossers like Ranger, they literally have the world at their feet and its still not enough.
  16. So does fatardyce not think that people who give up their spare time to coach kids for no money whatsoever and raise the funds for their clubs to buy equipment deserve a bit of credit, at the end of the day these are the people who start proffesionals off on the road to stardom.
