I'd like to take positives from this game. Sure, we capitulated in the last 15 minutes but we looked exhausted as well. Let's not forget Arsenal had the extra few days to prepare themselves.
We played really well and if we play like this in the next month or so, we'll be picking up points for sure, provided we can keep it tighter at the back.
Marveaux, Gabby, Ba and Bigi had good games for me. defence had complete stinkers. Tiote and Cisse average
I don't understand why Cisse plays out wide. He can not and should not play in a wide position. It's high time Pards had the balls to drop him, along with dropping the likes of Jonas, Tiote, etc as well. If you don't play well, you shouldn't play at all if there is a replacement waiting in the wings.
We scored 3 while totally sacrificing defence. Teams will be watching us and licking their lips, we're f***ing awful.
And now Pardew is whining in the press about Fellaini being back from suspension

What an absolute joke of a person you are. Do you realise it takes a bit of balls to have a decimated team go out on the country's toughest grounds and have them play like that? Barring the last 20 minutes today they can be proud. Bloody pissed with the defending and one or two players but on the whole we've given a great account of ourselves in very difficult days.
A match is 90 minutes though.

Because he realised that Arsenal had the upper hand in terms of fitness (after not having played on Boxing day, and hardly pressing at all in the first half), maybe? So instead of leaving ourselves open by attacking against a fitter team, he wanted us to go defensive.
Thought a fitness expert like yourself would have considered this.

I agree we can't compete and a large reason for that is Ashley's mismanagement of the club and inability to maximise revenues. The rest though well I don't agree. I don't think a club who last season averaged the 14th largest attendances can't be described as "wee". A club who are made to feel important by the vast media coverage are not "wee", we're significant because people care, and we have as many proper supporters in this country as anyone apart from Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool. We're the biggest club North of Manchester in the UK in my eyes, we have a genuine catchment area from North Yorkshire, to Cumbria to Southern Scotland, and we're supported everywhere within that vast part of the country. We win fuck all, but we got in to a position to challenge by becoming the FIFTH RICHEST CLUB IN THE WORLD at one point, not by some Ayatollah throwing in billions. I think him calling us wee is his worst moment, the fact that he's called us "wee" suggests that he doesn't think we are to me. You wouldn't come out on telly and say Boro are wee, or West Ham are wee because it's just accepted.

Agree with all of that Stevie. The problem is, we are being ran like a "wee club". If you do that for long enough, eventually you become one.
Takes alot of reverse effort to get there with such a following - granted - but spend money like wigan for 10 years and you are bound to become an "also-ran" eventually.

Well we are compared to Man Utd. We are not a big club anymore and thats thanks to Llambas and Ashley - but Pardew constantly highlighting "we cant compete" in the pressers doesnt help either.
