  1. You do realise that's a parody account mate?
  2. He said that mass immigration puts a strain on the housing market. He said it wasn't the only thing to do so - we also weren't building enough homes, and asked the other 4 if any of them would acknowledge it was a factor. They all declined and got cheered by the audience for doing so - despite the fact it quite clearly is a factor. People don't like it when questions are dodged, avoided, or 'played down' - and they did so because they knew they had the studio audience on side. That will have annoyed a lot of people at home.
  3. Probably because people were bemused at the fact he was jeered for making a factually correct statement re: supply and demand
  4. Got a Season Ticket, but I'll be missing this one. Way I see it is if you're going to moan like fuck about something online then you should do something about it, and going against a boycott/protest doesn't sit right with me. Sadly the consensus between my mates and other lads I know my age is 'I'm going, boycott won't make a difference'.
  5. So you think a large labour majority in North East seats with no realistic competition is a good thing?
  6. Well yes, in a first past the post system, it's generally a bad thing to have large majorities and safe seats. I'm struggling to see how that could be argued against. If I was in a marginal then fair enough - but I'm not.
  7. UKIP's still got my vote. Hopefully it'll reduce that Labour lead here and make them work for votes.
  8. I see Clegg and Cameron have bottled the debate
  9. Aye I saw today's Mail headline, a full-blown hissy fit because the RTB extension is basically unworkable and counter-productive, so instead of attempting to refute this, they decided to attack the HOUSING FAT CATS I think we're up to around £24.5 billion worth of unfunded spending claims from the Tories now. Good old fiscal Conservatism eh?
  10. Took less than 24 hours for this new 'Right to Buy' extension to be utterly dismantled one piece at a time by critics from all sides of the political spectrum. So far I've seen far more 'economically reckless' propositions from the Conservative Party than the Labour Party.
  11. Funny as fuck watching Gideon getting torn apart by Andrew Marr. Imagine if the roles were reversed and Miliband had made such an unfunded pledge, be hell on amongst Tory circles That's a £3.1 billion price freeze on train fares announced Friday morning, an extra £8 billion for the NHS and £7.5 billion tax cuts. ALL unfunded. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/generalelection/general-election-2015-chancellor-george-osborne-ducks-questions-as-to-where-8bn-nhs-fund-will-come-from-if-tories-are-reelected-10170622.html
  12. Absolute fucking dogshit. The worst away I've been to in terms of the game and our support. I'm not sure which was worse to be honest. If booing the opposition support DURING a VOLUNTARY minutes applause for not joining in wasn't bad enough, our fans decided to start the booing on 16 minutes and 45 seconds - 15 seconds before it was even due to start FFS. Genuinely beyond belief.
  13. You would vote for a party of people that think you're thick for having a rational viewpoint? *cough* white van man *cough*
  14. Well first off, UKIP will not win more than a couple of seats, if that - however I do reckon they'll win a very sizable chunk of that actual vote. So they won't actually have any influence as such, and certainly won't be forming the government, so the whole 'Under UKIP' guessing game is a bit redundant. A vote for UKIP, for me at least, is a vote for euro-skepticism, and a vote for tighter immigration controls. I could vote Labour/Lib Dem, but what would the point be? Labour are going to win my seat regardless, and at least if UKIP reduce the win margin a bit then I might actually hear from my MP, and she might get off her arse and fight for votes, rather than relying on a cushy safe-seat.
  15. Ironically attitudes like your own are what is driving people to vote UKIP in their droves. Tell a person that they are racist/stupid/thick/idiotic/bigoted/fascist often enough for holding a rational viewpoint, then they'll get fucked off and show it at the ballot box. Mass - Immigration wouldn't be at the top of the list for a lot of people if it wasn't for the fact that nobody asked for it, nobody voted for it, and the important part - it occurred on an absolutely unprecedented scale since the late 90's - and any opposition to it was shouted down.
  16. "MG203 Richer regions and communities do not have the right to use migration controls to protect their privileges from others in the long term" http://policy.greenparty.org.uk/mg.html
  17. A far as I'm aware UKIP's NHS policy is to ensure it is free at the point of use, and actually opposes the privatisation we saw under New Labour under the Private Finance Initiative agreements?
  18. A service based economy is always going to be fucked regarding collective bargaining, sadly, unless something huge happens
  19. Leaving the European Union. NHS (not that I trust them one iota on that like, but officially it looks fine). Controlling mass-immigration. Off the top of my head. Thankfully flat tax is out the window. Strongly disagree with grammar schools mind.
  20. I want to agree with this but I have the feeling you're taking the piss out of me here
  21. Then I strongly disagree with him on that.
