  1. Dropped mine before and now the home button doesn't work and it won't charge  Reckon if I take it to the Apple store they'll fix it for me?

Different phone but my home button stopped working, I downloaded a software update and it all started working again.

Probably worth checking in store though.

I can't even do that as my pc doesn't recognise the phone when I plug it in. Will take it to the store but I reckon it's fucked

  2. Has anyone played this yet? Tempted to get it but wasn't keen on Halo 3.

ive been making it last but im getting to the end of the campaign now I think, its been absolutely epic, in the proper sense of the word, it feels huge, the battles are enormous and can be finished in your own style

the RPG fan in me has loved that I get to make my own spartan character to take through the campaign even if it is all just cosmetic

Sounds good. Might rent it first and see what I think.

  3. ive never been able to get into the gears games, owned the first one but never played it through on my own, played coop campaign once and then I wasnt interested anymore

borrowed number two and was the same

I'm the same. Will probably rent number 3 and see what it's like but I just couldn't see what all the fuss was about with the first 2

  4. Gave up playing this a while back but I started again yesterday, from the beginning. Getting through it faster this time as I'm skipping the early cutscenes. As has been said though, nowhere near as good as the earlier FFs.

  5. Boruc closes on Fiorentina switch

Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has signed for Fiorentina subject to a medical, according to the Italian club.

The Polish international has been a virtual ever present at Celtic since joining from Legia Warsaw in 2005.

Boruc, 30, who has been linked with AC Milan and Arsenal in the past, is under contract until 2011.

Fellow Pole Lukasz Zaluska has been vying with Boruc for the number one jersey at Celtic since arriving from Dundee United last summer.

Boruc has made more than 150 appearances for Celtic and has gained 43 caps for Poland.

He has impressed for the majority of his time at Celtic, although a loss of form under previous manager Tony Mowbray saw him insist Boruc was no longer an automatic choice.

Mowbray has since been succeeded by Neil Lennon, who is looking to rebuild his squad as they aim to prevent Rangers from winning their third consecutive league title.

  6. A man who flew from Dubai and queued on a London street for 32 hours to be the first in line to buy the new iPhone 4 had his efforts dashed when Apple allowed internet pre-order customers ahead of him.

Alex Lee, 27, who headed a 500-strong queue outside the Regent Street store on Thursday morning, said he would write to Apple chief executive Steve Jobs.

Asked why he was not first to enter the store, Mr Lee said: "I don't have an answer because I've been queuing here for a lot longer than everybody else."

He added: "I can't do anything about it. If you don't like what you've seen, s.jobs@apple.com is a quick way of getting hold of somebody up in management."

Instead, the first person to buy the new iPhone 4 was 23-year-old graduate Ben Paton, from Stoke-on-Trent, who had queued for 16 hours.

Mr Paton said he felt embarrassed and even asked Apple staff if he could wait his turn.

But with the new handset in his hands, and Apple staff whooping and cheering as he descended the shop's glass steps, he described the feeling as "absolutely incredible, amazing. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'd love to do it again".

If Mr Lee had registered on Apple's Reserve and Pick Up website, he would have avoided the disappointment. But despite missing the chance to be first, the dedicated Apple fan insisted his marathon wait was worthwhile.

He said: "It's so thin, maybe five or six credit cards thick - it's amazing. Absolutely worth it, every second of it."

Apple's latest smartphone is slimmer and more powerful than its predecessor and features the new OS 4 operating system as standard, which makes multi-tasking third party apps possible for the first time.

Serves the sad cunt right ;)

  7. I must admit being brought up on Morricone the soundtrack isn't particularly great. It just lacks something that takes away a vital component of the game for me.

However, I am now streaming across my Morricone Western collection while playing the game. Words can't begin to describe how much this adds to the overall theme of the game.

    How do you do that?

.. How bloody amazing is this?!

    Cheers Tooj

    what?

Streaming Morricone as a substitute soundtrack to the game.

How do you do that mate? Stream from pc to xbox?
