Schar signed new 2 year deal, it’s like a new signing.

    Good move

Without TOT alongside him he’s looking decent.Big Dan will have played no small part in his improvement.

.We’re a lot more balanced with two left footers in defence (Targett and Big Dan) and with another left footed player in midfield of equal quality I’d be more than happy.

More than 6 top tier sides, which is canny for a Third Division club, but certainly not a “bigger average than most of the PL”

It would be less than 6 if three of those clubs had bigger grounds.

    That's an interesting point.

I did some fag packet calculations. According to their accounts for 2018/19 (the last full season unaffected by covid closures) they raised £8,600,000 in gate receipts which is a lot of money.

That was done over 31 home matches and their official average attendance that season was 32,157 which is excellent for a third tier side.

But when you do the calculations that works out an average of £8.63 a ticket. Maybe that's how they're getting them through the turnstiles?

And the thick bastards wonder why they never spend big.

We all know that’s not true. We’ve not just beat the attendance records we’ve smashed them.

there’s only a very small number of clubs that would have a chance of beating them. It’s another record we would rather not have, but we have them.

having a go at 30k+ fans in League 1 goes against everything football fans love about the game. Especially the shite that’s been rolled out in the last 20 years, I’d say the attendance is the only good thing about the club right now

When the drink-driver was Chairman howls of laughter came from the attendees when the official attendance was announced  through the speaker’s at the SOS.You know that the same is happening now.You do know the difference between attendance figures and attendee figures, don’t you?
You’re all obsessed with attendances.Leading up to every home game you have at least one thread on attendances.’Look at us.Look at us everyone’. Why are your cup attendances, where you cannot fiddle the attendance figures,so shit in general?

after the leicester game on sunday we wild camped in the van in some woodland near the entrance to beamish museum and ended up having a few pints in the shepherd and shepherdess. got joined on our table by a couple from noplace who wanted to make a fuss of the dog. he was a mackem and I mean a proper one who hailed from deepest sunderland, similar age to meself and the conversation moved on from bull breed dogs to football. I told him I'd been to the match to which he remarked on it being a good win. bearing in mind where I live this was literally the first conversation I've had with a real life person rather than the ranting halfwits I've read on rtg. couldn't have been a bigger contrast, the bloke said he would absolutely love it if sunderland were now in our position with the potential ahead.

I mean, for you who are still up in the north east and come in to more contact with our neighbours than I do, what is the norm?

is it the bloke I.bumped in to or is it exile1968, sofatester, jlaws, skylon etc whose lives seem to be consumed by their outrage?

On rare occasions they can come across as ok but I wouldn’t be surprised if he contacted as many makem friends as possible,on arriving home, and slated you for being a deluded supporter of a club owned by murderers
