Aye I'm sure it's fucking wonderful if you've not got kids. I get shafted with the school runs and anytime one of them "isn't feeling well" and gets sent home or has to stay off.
That's not even mentioning extended family members just showing up and leaving with their nose out of joint because I didn't offer to put the kettle on. Aye thanks for stopping by but fuck off, I'm busy.
Mrs B bumped into our new neighbours in the supermarket on her lunch break the other day, subtle as a brick through a window they are. "Oh you're on your lunch break? I said to John you must have a job, didn't I John? I've seen you coming and going most days and I said to John I think she has a job. Didn't I say that John?"
I have no kids and live 12 thousand miles away from any of my family.
Working from home is the best.- 5

Are chelsea fans unironically singing "Champions of europe, you'll never sing that"?!

Id be stunned if he went.
Hes basically got a DoFs wet dream here, growing and shaping a club with unlimited resources. Man U is a poisoned chalice and surely everyone knows it.
Not even considering that we waited 9 months for his gardening leave period and paid a fucking lot of money to brighton for his contract, we'd absolutely take them to the cleaners to even let them talk to him. Anyone from that shitshow at Man U going into a negotiation with Stavely and co would come out with their heads spinning, wallet empty and be delighted at how good a deal they got on those magic beans.- 9

Some are genuinely suggesting that jumping your hip into someone's face isn't a red, but putting your arm across your opponents chest while challenging for the ball is a definite red card offence. It's all a conspiracy, VAR helping out the big teams again and all that.
I think I'll enjoy having a browse of that thread.
that opening post is a spectacular misread of the whole situation

nee sign of TonaliPart of his punishment was that he has to attend a load of classes in Italy.
Good chance hes just back there for a while at this point. Little to be gained from him being at the club just now.

I'd be amazed if this ends up in a deduction. There must be a way of getting the extra money into the club and avoiding administration.
It'll be fucking hilarious though.
Its more likely too than anything else, they need 20 million extra next month, the old owner will put nothing in, the new owners don't own the club yet and already sank 100m in a club they arent guaranteed to own and dont want to do it.
The points deduction if they don't get that 20 mil is immediate and automatic, no pissing about debating "charges" or anything.- 3

Everton are looking at another points deduction

Do you remember when we lost a cup final last season?
I can't believe some of you didn't actually just end it all when that happened based on the reactions to us going out of the Champions League in disappointing but (be honest) expected fashion from the hardest group in the competition- 4

The group of death proved to be so in the end. Shame that we haven't been able to go further but we acquitted ourselves very well imo.
Dortmund had our number but we gave both Milan and PSG a tough time home and away. You could look at that shite decision against PSG or Miggy missing tonight etc. It is a game of very fine margins at the top level. We're not getting any luck this season and our players are clearly exhausted considering that we've lost the ability to make any subs for several weeks. Its not just resulting in injuries but you can see the level of play drop too, tired passes, tired runs, tired brains making uncharacteristic mistakes.
We're better for having had this experience though and we've still got two cups and a very competitive league to play in so the players aren't getting a break any time soon- 5

Thank god we've got the winter break coming up to get some rest...oh wait, we're the only country in europe that doesnt do that.

Newcastle United vs Nottingham Forest

Its a very similar trajectory to Klopps start at Liverpool, he came in with his incredibly high intensity pressing game and then had to adapt his squad and his tactics to be able to run games more efficiently without running them into the ground.
Interestingly (?) Howe is still two years younger than Klopp was when he joined Liverpool, both started managing quite young in their early 30s.
Fingers crossed the parallels continue and Eddie can evolve us as Klopp did Liverpool.
