Looks great fun, what’s it like to play?

Must be light as a feather @Andrew

Good but quite weird, there are a few things that will take a little getting used to.

Obviously the neck shape is the main thing, my thumb doesn't hit that back plane quite naturally yet.

The body shape sits really nicely in a comfortable playing position compared to anything else I have, my janky left shoulder is enjoying it a lot so far for that!

I just weighed it out of curiosity and it is 2.4Kgs, which is absurdly light.

Belated Happy New Guitar Day. Looks nice. Like Tom I'm curious how it plays. Fanned fretboards freak me the fuck out but I'm not sure I've ever actually played one or bothered to read about the design much.

Is it essentially fender scale on the bottom and Gibson scale on the top? I know I easily find and answer to this on Google but I'm a busy man with lots of important things to do (like drinking and being lazy).

Its 25.5 to 25 on the 6 strings, so Fender to PRS, very subtle.

Do you feel they somewhat contradict each other? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤔😆

    Just a tad 😆

Tbf its not just a KD thing, theres an undercurrent of "always believe the bad news" in a lot of our supporters that I think still stems from the Ashley days.

Apparebtly we are eyeing up Brentford's DOF as Ashworth's replacement. He's a Geordie too.

Sounds like Ashworth is as good as gone

That certainly is a pair of posts made back to back by the same person

    Cheers Andrew.

Yeah HDMI is what I’m planning to use.

Also, can I buy a wireless mouse that will work on the monitor or does it actually need to be wired to the monitor when using a laptop.

The monitor is just a screen, it can't do any computing on its own. Its just an extension of your laptop so whatever mouse you're using on that will work across both.

Ahh I see, yeah you're on the right track, you don't need anything fancy for that.

The other stuff is more for multimedia/gaming types where colours, fidelity, refresh rates etc. will actually make a difference.

As long as your laptop has a port that can connect to your new one, you'll be fine.

  7. Happy New Year lads.

If you'd told me 18 years ago that I'd still be on here, posting and running the place I would have fallen into a deep depression, but its actually alright!

2023s been a weird fucking year in our household, 2024 has a return to the UK for the first time since 2018 bit on the cards so its only going to get weirder.

  8. Getting another CF or a GK, while they'd serve us well would be short term measures, unless we find someone really surprising who is affordable, available and good enough to provide proper competition to Pope or Isak. I can't see either happening.

A number 6 and a RW are both longer standing issues in the squad who we can actually upgrade long term with a more likely january deal.

  9. I haven't seen phillips play in fucking ages, because he hasn't, I don't really remember what he's like.

In my head he isn't what we need though, he'd be more like our 8s rather than a more defensive minded midfielder who will sit at the base and allow bruno time to rest/more license to get forward, am I wrong?

This hits the core problem with our injuries  and reintroduction squarely on the head

Its a very similar trajectory to Klopps start at Liverpool, he came in with his incredibly high intensity pressing game and then had to adapt his squad and his tactics to be able to run games more efficiently without running them into the ground.

Interestingly (?) Howe is still two years younger than Klopp was when he joined Liverpool, both started managing quite young in their early 30s.

Fingers crossed the parallels continue and Eddie can evolve us as Klopp did Liverpool.

Aye I'm sure it's fucking wonderful if you've not got kids. I get shafted with the school runs and anytime one of them "isn't feeling well" and gets sent home or has to stay off.

That's not even mentioning extended family members just showing up and leaving with their nose out of joint because I didn't offer to put the kettle on. Aye thanks for stopping by but fuck off, I'm busy.

Mrs B bumped into our new neighbours in the supermarket on her lunch break the other day, subtle as a brick through a window they are. "Oh you're on your lunch break? I said to John you must have a job, didn't I John? I've seen you coming and going most days and I said to John I think she has a job. Didn't I say that John?"

I have no kids and live 12 thousand miles away from any of my family.

Working from home is the best.
