the fuck are you doing to my posts?
You're messing with my mojo dude...you're all up in my chi.
That last bit just sounds like something he'd say.
-
My idea is to copy their idea. If it's good enough for the Chinese, it's good enough for NUFC.
Credit where it's due on that one

The FA are just as complicit as FIFA now IMO. They've had ample opportunity to pull out and have failed to do so. They know exactly what's going on.

Meh could've gone to either of those three, no mega standout manager this year.
You don't think Carver ran away with it?
-
It's because the club are scared of the BIG questions.
''Why don't the club do a pink shirt? Isn't black and white just a little heteronormative?!'
-
If the consensus is that we prefer him to Pardew though, then, assuming we don't go down, we're in a better position with him than we would have been if Pardew was still here.
Meaning that getting rid of Pardew will have paid off.
-
So much for Garde...
At least McClaren actually might come good, although I can't help but think he's just another Pardew style manager. That said, he's been around the block in Europe a bit which is more than Pardew managed.
-
The fuck are you both talking about?
-
I checked the Derby forum, and they seem genuinely appreciative of him and are wishing him well etc, despite the problems towards the end of the season. Maybe his links to us became an unsettling factor as well.
-
Agreed, that's that then.
Well, at least it isn't Carver. I wonder if Carver knew that though, or if the board really allowed him to think that it could be him.
-
Apparently being punished for 'flirting' with us.
Mentions that we approached him in January as well... did we know that?
-
Actually, what am I saying. We're currently managed by Carver so yeah, I'd take Clement if he's available.
-
I meant Clement not Ancelloti
What if Clement's just another Meulensteen though?
-
Oh God, watch the mad, undignified scramble by the club now...
-
How callous can people be...seriously. That's just fucking messed up.

Actually I was just thinking before, I bet RAWK couldn't pull together a two-three page thread hijack based around the links between classical literature and bowel movements. That's where TT comes into its own!
-
This seems like the kinda guy that Raheem Sterling should be letting guide his career.
He is also Saido Berahino’s agent unsurprisingly.
RAWK started a thread on this Sterling business on May 18th. 3 days later, it now has 138 pages and 5,500 posts.
Can you imagine if we were like that

MF is the undisputed champ at this stuff like.

Which is why I'm livid with myself I didn't lay a few quid on us when the odds were so long.
Remember I was predicting the worst well before it became popular.
Hipster pessimism!

No, I had the audacity to say that Pardew was the best coach NUFC could hope fur under the Ashley regime. I also suggested that if the same people behind SackPardew were also the ones setting up AO.com, then it probably wouldn't come up with any stellar ideas. That was enough for a few of the knuckle draggers on the forum to absolutely lose their shit and accuse me of being a mackem troll, and whoever runs the forum decided it was better for the groupthink ambience of the place to just kick me off rather than allow me to fight my corner. The ringleader was some asshole calling himself WallsendMag, which is ironic, as he would have to catch a bus into Newcastle if he had the balls to say to me IRL what he was so brave enough to do on NO. As far as I remember, I was never actually on the forum long enough to even start a thread (as they remind you about a billion times in the signup process, you have to post 100 times before you get that privelage).
I've never been a big fan of N-O to be honest. I could be totally wrong, but it feels like it's approaching RTG in some ways - it's obviously the main Newcastle board where you get the slightly more excitable fan. I'm a little surprised that Essemmbee doesn't post there.
That said, they do have some of the best 'Gold' threads I've ever seen.

I'm not saying they aren't the better side over the course of the season? I'm saying they're where they are for the same reasons we're where we are. A combination of quality, application and fortune, be it good or mis. They've enough application and fortune to make up for their lack of quality. We've lacked application and fortune throughout the season and our quality isn't good enough to make up for that shortfall.
Sorry, the first comment I made was in reference to your luck claim - I don't think they're lucky, I just think they got their arses in gear; the rest of my post was just a general lamentation about the state of our club, not a criticism of your argument.

Mako, I agree with more of your points than most on here (I think there's been one so far) but Fish is right with this IMO. If the player is in a team that goes down, it would severely weaken his hand in negotiations with other clubs, especially if he wanted to remain a PL player. Granted there may be some exceptions where a bidding war triggers, but ultimately this is quite a rare occurrence.
At least that's how I see it. I do actually kind of get your wider point about players not taking responsibility for their failure, but that's not the world we live in. If my company went bust tomorrow due to generally poor working practices of the staff, myself included, I would very likely be looking at a lower paid job to begin with, even if I was employed immediately.
