  1. I meant save the turtle anyway.
  2. What an excellent idea. Save the whale (Fish)! Hey, is anyone else bored? Where's the bullying and harrassment officer? (the whale isn't a fish btw) Sorry Fop.

  4. Someone on N-O said they thought he could be paving the way to leave in January if the season doesn't live up to expectations. Now that is taking the pessimistic view. Renton talk tbh. Hey, that's genius, wish I'd thought of it. Was it Wullie per chance?
  5. Howay man, seriously, no one has taken any of this seriously though, have they?
  6. Any need? No wonder you started the bullying thread! Conscience? No, it's just plainly a silly thing for him to say and achieves nothing but rolling eyes, but it is entirely predictable you would defend him as you do for everyone who says ott positive stuff about us. No bullying, honest. Well, you say that, but aren't you one of the ones who will often come up with the 'expectations successfully lowered' kind of quote? How does this tally with someone actually showing ambition and high expectations? Would you rather he didn't say he felt we could achieve something? Imagine the slating he'd get if he said 'yeah, I'm settled in for scrappy draws at bolton next year.' I expect him to say something along the lines of "I think we will improve and score much more goals when Michael is back". That's fine. But saying we have a chance of winning the league is blatently ludicrous and achieves nothing but ridicule. Whatever, you disagree, hardly a point we're going to see eye to eye on and hardly one that matters. What does matter if whether they can play together and I have major reservations about that. Don't you dare WHATEVER me, young man!

  9. I think saying we have a chance of the league makes him look like an idiot personally. Not surprised Patrokles disagrees though.
  10. I used to think so but now I think he brings it on himself.
  11. Is that a piss-take? If not, you should and having seen the film doesn't take anything away from it as there's a lot more to the book. I thought 'Filth' was good. Not one of his best though. Whacky man you've got to read trainspotting. Once you get over the phonetics and realise there is quite a complex array of characters it's superb. Renton, Begbie, Sickboy, Spud, Tommy, Second Prize, Matt, Ally, Kelly, Dianne, Gav............ Incidentally, I saw Filth as a play at the theatre Royal once. The strange thing was it was a monologue, one actor played over 100 parts iirc. It might sound crap but he utterly superb, I've never seen such a masterclass in stage acting before.
  12. Is it really essential for a musician to be stoned most of the time? Strange, it makes me even more cynical for some reason Hmm, or you would be more like Renton if you weren't stoned? Correct you mean? And Alex, shut it!
  13. We're gonna win the league, we're gonna win the league and now you're gonna believe us....
  14. It's one thing being optimistic and another being totally deluded. Keep talking shite like that Martins and you won't win many fans.
  15. Explain how they've "wrecked" the Premiership. It was uncompetitive long before they were bought. Look at the standard of football from Man United and Arsenal and think about the point you're trying to make again. Because it is much more uncompetitive now. If a club makes a big profit through its fanbase and invests it on their team then good luck to them. Slight difference between that and a club on the verge of bankruptcy that is bought out by a dodgy Russian billionaire (completely unconnected to the club) and can buy any player they want, at any price, without ever having to balance the books, purely on the whim of the owner. Liverpool a big team through their history, as to a lesser extent are Arsenal. ManU are big through history and fanbase; I have no complaints. In comparison Chelsea are the epitome of everything that is wrong with football and are wholly artificial. I can't wait for the day Abromovic gets sick of them or is assassinated/arrested or whatever and they go bust tbh. What a load of bollocks. The premiership was being dominated by Man United and Arsenal. Now it's being dominated by Man United and Chelsea. To say they've "wrecked" the premiership is utter utter drivel. Nothing has changed. Cheslea are just another team who can buy any player in the world, just like Man United could. Just because they've "gained it" rather than "earned it" has absolutely nothing to do with how good the PL is as a league. Actually, it's technically more competitive now - at the start of the season any of 4 clubs could have won the title. A few years ago it was only 2. I agree, as much as I despise Chelsea (and you know I do!) I will begrudgingly admit that the league has opened up a bit, although there are aspects they have contributed to the league that are less than savoury, although that is more down to Mourinho than Abramavoich. Whilst Chelsea are not the only team that intimidate refs and cheat they are certainly the most persistant at it. They've opened up the league how exactly? Didn't they win the league by one of the largest margins ever in 2005 and still by a wide berth in 2006? OK, this year ManU have improved and may nick it but Arsenal and Liverpool are miles off the pace, and yet the top 4 are so far ahead it's going to be next to impossible for any other team to get into it. The important places in the league are utterly uncompetitive tbh, and the team at the top is a fucking cuckoo.

    Ouch!

Jesus wept. Read the fucking thread. Are you claiming the whole thing was changed? I suck cock tbh, that's the ONLY way I've ever altered a post; not in the original post!! Actually maybe you haven't but the poster formally known as Chayton definitely has, either way I'm not fucked on if either of you have or haven't I'm just going off what I've been told. Seems some people are obsessed with the bloke tbh What do you make of the NE5/LeazesMag/Beermonster thing out of interest Whacky? You actually believe a person who is so deluded he thinks people can't tell it's the same person?
  17. Even Ferguson came 2nd in his first full year and had a hugely impressive CV at Aberdeen behind him though.
  18. Explain how they've "wrecked" the Premiership. It was uncompetitive long before they were bought. Look at the standard of football from Man United and Arsenal and think about the point you're trying to make again. Aye largely they've added a 3rd option to the usual two really, not really changed much else. The only way the Premiership would be competitive again in a real way is if they did make a european super league. (although clearly this isn't an intelligent comment and therefore must be bollocks so Renton's right.... oh wait) FFS Fop give it a rest man, it's embarassing.

Actually, it's technically more competitive now - at the start of the season any of 4 clubs could have won the title. A few years ago it was only 2. We're never going to agree on this Gol but I'm fairly sure most people would agree the premiership has become worse since Chelsea sold out to Abromovic, and most would see a causal link. Even a lot of Chelsea fans feel uneasy with the situation. It seems you just can't see the difference between investing in success and buying it; well fair enough but the difference to me is fundamental. From Newcastles point of view of course they have jumped ahead of us when rightfully they should be where Leeds are. But more depressingly is the negative effect they have had on players wages and the transfer market, which has hurt every other club. Even more depressing is our lapdog relationship with them, but that's another story.

  21. I can understand people disliking Liverpool but how anyone can prefer Chelsea, who imo have wrecked the premiership, I really don't know.
  22. Out of interest, what makes you think Roeder is a decent person, not that it matters? I have heard quite a lot of negative things about him as it happens. He talks shite, that's for certain. And Great Toon, I felt I had to ask you about going to games because no-one I know who goes to games shares your opinion and many of them are given up their STs next year because of Shepherd and Roeder. I find it incredible that a person who has witnessed the teams of Keegan and Robson would settle for a Roeder team, mind, there used to be a poster on here who agreed with you.
  23. The old top teams keep their managers routine. Bollocks, it's top managers keep their jobs and make top teams. If you are trying to compare the ability of Roeder to that of Ferguson, Mourinho, Wenger, or Benitez then you are deluded. In fact, there is not another manager in the premiership with a record as bad as Roeder's. We are going nowhere with this moron in charge, except possibly down. Out of interest, do you actually pay your own money to watch Roeder's crap teams?
