Platform of "careful now"? Idk man, but whatever they're doing, I don't see why they'd be incentivised to change it. Maybe I'm wrong..!

Mate, I’m not exactly thrilled with the state of UK politics, or the world in general. But Labour giving the Tories a right fucking shoeing at the next general election is a definite positive in my view.  I don’t know where we’re headed off the back of that but it’s got to be better than the alternative.

  2. What platform? People are going on like they’ve announced a programme of Reaganomics. Their platform is doing things differently to the Tories and improving people’s lives in the process. They’ll be judged on that. Not promises they make 6 months before an election or empty statements about Gaza or whatever else the Corbyn won the argument twats are obsessing over

  3. If there’s anything to campaign for it’s electoral reform. Possibly a hopeless cause but not as hopeless as voting for greens or independents in the next election. In the vast majority of constituencies at least

  4. Well half the article is an attempt to shoot down the obvious criticisms (like the imminent landslide victory for Labour). Which just had the opposite effect tbh.

I read it - it's more or less the same reason I chucked in membership ages ago but I have to admit I'm not sure why it's taken him so long to get to that point. Writing has been on the wall for anyone who thinks like him for some time now, nothing is 'new' about where we are. So on that basis yes, I suspect it's been done to maximise attention whereas it could and should have been done as soon as Starmer started abandoning the pledges that had him elected to leadership.

Yeah, I respect that view but the timing? Just fuck off, you tedious cunt

    Him, not you ;)

  6. If he was genuine he’d go into politics properly instead of criticising Labour via various media outlets. I think he was genuine initially but he’s just another grifter and has been for a while

Owen Jones has written an article for the guardian explaining why he's just cancelled his Labour membership. I haven't read it, but I assume it's mostly for attention.

I would imagine it’s because they’re so far ahead in the polls too.

  8. I think it must be very difficult in the vast majority of cases to find the courage to go to your doctor and say that. Or even talk about it general. But I wish to fuck that more people would do it. And I am so glad that it is a lot easier and more acceptable than it ever used to be. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot more progress to make.
I fucking despise these cunts. The sooner they’re out of power the better

 Aye, one of the funniest things about Bruce is every fucker knows he’s lazy as fuck. The fucker barely bothered taking training sessions, rocked up late or not at all, it’s all pretty publicly known through player interviews etc. Despite this he takes massive offense to anyone that even suggests he’s not a massively hard working bloke , the bloke could have put some effort in but he genuinely just went straight back to watching Telly in his office during training sessions after being outraged by the notion people thought he was a grifting cunt.

His Sheff Wed stint btw. Delayed by a month so he could watch England play cricket in the Caribbean. Which was apparently because his parents had died the previous year or because he’d had an operation. Obviously the former is tragic but the cynic in he suggests he was simply trying it on. He repaid that by leaving them that summer the moment he got a better offer. Which, unfortunately, was us.

Aye, an attempt at placating the plebs by bringing in a local lad, who couldn't wait to fuck off for the big bucks almost a decade earlier - tbf to Carroll though I thought he did OK, got a few assists that first season - but when you're signing a striker you'd kind of like him to strike.

It was more that he came with a poor fitness record and then proceeded to be unavailable most of the time and still got extended. I might have misremembered it but wasn’t he (seemingly) constantly two weeks away from full fitness?

If he'd done a decent job he'd have no reason to 'defend' anything. He's a strange bloke.

He got a pretty easy ride as well. Which didn’t stop his knacker son trawling social media looking for fights. Steve Bruce then used that as evidence for all the shit him and his family had to put up with. Despite, according to him, only learning about it second hand. Like you say, a strange bloke. I’m glad it bothers him though, no wonder he got on with the equally thin-skinned Mike Ashley
