The chronicle article on him is class: The bit I've put in italics is lifted straight off his wiki page.

Correct, CT. There will be no special deal for the UK despite all the lick-spittles who have visited Trump to remind him of the imaginary "special relationship".

Not Scatman John?

Looks like the UK steel industry will get a cracking deal from Trump.

Inviting a load of fans to turn up to welcome him would be a mag thing to do

It's great, man. Short did almost exactly the same sort of shit and not even very long ago and it's like they have developed this collective amnesia as though this new lot are doing something completely new and exciting. The difference of course is that the new fella has nowhere near the funds that Short had

Maybe he could just wear a badge with it on or something like that.

Actually, as an aside, one thing Bayliss was saying over the winter was that T/20 internationals should be done away with. It won't happen because they're money-spinners but I tend to agree. As he said, you could still have a T/20 World Cup (which I think works better than the bloated version of the One-Day World Cup we now have) and the teams could play a few friendlies in effect, in the run up to the tournament. The rest of the time, leave it outside the international calendar. Even that would ease fixture congestion a little bit. They don't get as much coverage because it's not as big an organisation but you could argue the ICC is as corrupt and self-serving as Fifa. Possibly more so these days. I know he's not involved in the ECB any more but Giles Clarke is a perfect example of the dangers of the administrators just chasing more and more money with no concern for the long-term welfare of the game.

Yeah, it's a city-based franchise pile of bollocks and the T/20 Bash remains. I think I agree about the 50 over competition. It's a shame it's being margnalised because it's a superior form of the game (for me at least) to T/20 but something has to give. Also, while a first World Cup win would be great and it was good when we won the T/20 version what people in this country really care about is test cricket. Hard to see how a good test side can be maintained whilst county cricket is structured the way it is. I was reading Jennings (who has just been called up, so it's pertinent) hasn't played a championship match for 3 weeks and his last 5 games have been limited overs ones. Crazy

It's not. How many top flight matches get lost to bad weather each season? Virtually none. -
They've just discovered a Gnostic Gospel in the Golan Heights which suggests that, some 18 centuries or so before the club was founded, Jesus was in fact a MLF

Forgot to mention his opponent is nearly 40 too.

Had a look at Tyson Fury's upcoming opponent - Sefer Seferi (no? me neither). He's the number 2 ranked cruiserweight in Albania (out of 2) and number 64 in the world in that division (according to BoxRec). And the one time he's fought anyone of note he lost a unanimous points decision. Sounds like it's going to be a cracking contest

I think it was Gemmill who pointed out that JRM must get his suits cut like that because he'd look even more weird if he got one that actually fit him. He looks like a putter as it is
