1. Thats ok then, for a minute i thought it was a shite deal! 189388
2. can't see us getting bridge but i knew chelsea would get their man in the end
3. my mate who's die hard west ham rates him highly
4. where is this story being reported? i can't see it on the internet anywhere
5. wtf did they get the money from? they're valued at about £15m each!
6. i hope i'm wrong but i'd put my money on a let down rather than a pleasant surprise.
7. that's what i'm talking about i'd also like to add that going into the season with ameobi (crocked), owen (crocked), luque (shite), rossi (young and unproven) and martins (unproven in the permiership) as our only recognised strikers is almost as big a gamble as sticking with the six defenders listed above. i hope they prove me wrong and pull out all the stops. i'd love nothing more than to eat humble pie on this board tomorrow morning. ...but if things stay as they are, i'm going to storm shepherd's office at sjp armed with some gaffer tape, rope, a pick axe and fifty greggs cheese and onion pasties.
8. you think that worrying about our lack of movement with a few hours of the transfer window left is a knee jerk reaction? ok
9. to be fair to the lad, i've never heard of him
10. if we don't sign at least 2 new players before midnight i'd have him down as evens
11. i've got my rifle and bayonet. who's with me?
12. honestly. i know we're desperate for a new striker but does anyone expect anything but a season of struggle if we go into september with carr, babba, taylor, ramage bramble and moore as our only first team defenders. a] you're going to struggle with that crop of defenders because they're mostly shit and b] who ever went to a season with only 6 recognised defenders??? it's madness. we need two new defenders minimum and time is ticking. why does the fat twat leave it until the last minute EVERY transfer window? if we don't get more defenders in before tonight we're going to struggle and roeder will be the fall guy. anyone would think that he likes sacking and paying off managers two months into the new season.
13. agreed. we've adequate full back cover in babbayaro, carr and ramage
14. i'd like to see us go for nugent but i don't think we can afford to let milner go
15. Viduka could do a job here, reckon he'd do well alongside Martins. 188239 howay man - you wouldn't have said that a few months ago shirley? he's fat and only plays when he can be arsed. this rossi lad, although unproven, will be eager and champing to prove he's good enough. he might surprise us....and if he does well we might have an option to buy him. or would that be assuming we had a chairman with half a brain cell?
16. i don't think this move is that bad considering the situation we've found ourselves in - it's not like we're going to prise a top quality striker away from a top club with less than 24 hours of the window left. he's obviously not the striker with a bit of presence that we all wanted but he could prove to be a useful stop gap. man u fans seem to rate him and at least he isn't viduka. my biggest gripe is with the chairman. why does he leave it so late every fucking window? you'd think he'd learn from his mistakes. leave it till the last minute and you end up chasing other clubs' rejects.
17. roeder might have been 99 per cent sure over the weekend but we've seen most of the players we've been linked with move on to other clubs since then. a panic buy beckons
18. Have we actually been in for these lads then, or are you believing the legend that is Alan Oliver? 187857 what are you on about? i'm going on what roeder said over the weekend about us being in pole position to sign three new players.
19. just over 24 hours to complete three new signings. hmmmm
20. BREAKING NEWS Newcastle expected to "keep their powder dry."
21. especially when he's been one of our better players recently
