  1. So he was relying on staying in the Premiership to finance improving the squad with Benitez ?
  2. I'm no good with numbers & finance so what Ashley said about there being "nothing left" was he telling the truth
  3. If he doesn't get picked up by another Premiership Club
  4. Aye the heady heights of 15th in game 2 & game 16 had the town buzzing
  5. The really annoying part is why they persevered so long with McClaren. It was pretty evident from the first quarter of the season he wasn't up to the job ("judge me after 10 games") I'm not saying we'd have won anything but I highly doubt we would be in this predicament.
  6. http://www.themag.co.uk/2016/04/del-bosque-nominates-rafa-benitez-candidate-replace-summer-spain-newcastle-united/ Rafa's next jobs already lined up for him
  7. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ifpb55bXkrg We had the utmost respect & trust for him as a player & manager. We must trust & respect what he's saying here Edit insert Charnley for Llambias it's the same thing.
  8. From .com Aarons tbc Obertan 06/ 2016 Taylor 06/2016 Probably retain Taylor & Obertan
  9. There should be hell over this instead of the complete apathy, this guy has sold the club down the river. I'm hearing is "it was great last time in the Championship" well it was because we had a team that had heart & passion who wanted to win & cared about the club. Most of this lot will be kicking the gates down at SJP come the final whistle against Spurs. Rather than come straight back up I think we could do a Middlesbrough or worse.
  10. The lack of free worldwide tv advertising every couple of weeks will hurt him. As for playing in the Championship I don't think this squad has the gonads that Carroll,Barton,Nolan etc had
  11. No its been glaringly obvious all season the biggest dissapointment is the Benitez clause as he could/would have rebuilt the football side of NUFC. Instead we're going to end up in the Championship with some Johnny Hasbeen as our new manager. On the plus side Ashley will lose millions with the loss of his free tv advertising every fortnight. I'm hoping that'll be enough to make him sell up & sod off.
  12. Best try & console yourself young 'un because there's a strong possibility of both happening now
  13. It has now been confirmed that Rob Elliot will be missing beyond the start of next season. The Premier League kicks off for the 2016/17 season on 13 August 2016 and the Championship a week earlier… Irrespective of which division Newcastle end up in though, Rob Elliot won’t be available, as it has been confirmed he will be missing at least six months of football meaning October 2016 is the best case scenario for the Irish keeper’s comeback. With Tim Krul set to also be out beyond the start of next season, Karl Darlow is set to take charge until the end of this season but it would the remain to be seen what Rafa Benitez (or whoever…) will do for the 2016/17 season in these circumstances – Freddie Woodman set for the bench in these last eight matches.
  14. You must admit though Elliot played a lot better than we all thought he would.l agree about sorting out the defence & getting the forwards scoring.
  15. Aye there's a lot at stake the reawakening of the football side of Newcastle United if we stay up & Rafa stays. Otherwise we risk doing a Middlesbrough & being stuck in the Championship for years.
