  1. It's been a shit season again, lessons haven't been learned
  2. Elliot was reportedly taken to hospital for a scan and in his post-match press conference, Ireland Coach Martin O'Neill described the injury as "really serious".
  3. 8 games to play & 19th in the league. We have strikers who can't score. A botched together defence & now a 3rd choice keeper. It's going to take something now for us to stay up.
  4. We've been in the bottom 3 for most of the season (rock bottom twice) . We dropped to 15th after game 2 & have never been higher all season . We're on a 7 straight away game losing streak with our next 2 games being away. Yes I accept we now have an excellent manager but there's only so much he can do with what he's got. It was evident early in the season that McClaren wasn't up to the job despite having more money spent on his team than any Newcastle headcoach (manager) before. We are 19th for a reason that reason being that we are not good enough for this league. Again I admire the optimism but I think we'll be in the Championship next season with a totally different team & perhaps Beardsley as manager. As I've said before if this does happen my ray of hope is Ashley sells up & sods off to concentrate on his SD empire.
  5. We'll never have another manager like Keegan. IF Rafa stays I don't think even he will be able to match the "Keegan magic" he put into the club & city
  6. I'm not stressed mate just pointing out the obvious the writings been on the wall all season. From the appointment of McClaren too the smoke & mirrors over Charlie Austin. McClaren's "things are getting better" (they weren't). The smoke & mirrors over Berahino (we were never getting him). Even the sacking of McClaren was a fiasco & that's been just the last 10 months or so. It's been like this for years Hughton, Keegan, Shearer & Jonas treatment has been shocking. Alll this is apart from League positions & prefomance's on the pitch the club's rotten from top to bottom I'm proud to say I've never been to SJP since Ashley bought the club & I don't intend going again until he sods off until then I will watch the games & continue moaning. If we stay up & Rafa IS allowed free reign of the club then I'll stop moaning but IF is a big word & it'll be a matter of time before Ashley does something to piss him off its the way Ashley works.
  7. I know how awful of me because everything at the club is brilliant isn't it. Have a word with yourself man.
  8. 50,000 Spiderman masks should be worn for the home game against Swansea
  9. Newcastle United’s managing director, Lee Charnley, had supplied documents to the court which claimed that the club had kept in touch with Jonas Gutierrez and other family members…’to ensure that they knew that Jonas remained in our thoughts’. However, giving evidence today, the mother of Jonas Gutierrez, Ms Montore, said that the claims by Lee Charnley were nonsense and misleading to the tribunal. Through an interpreter, Ms.Montore said: “This is categorically not the case, as I remember feeling upset that the club seemed to show a lack of interest in Jonas’ welfare once the cancer was diagnosed. “Apart from one email from the club doctor to Jonas on October 17th, asking for contact details for the doctor in Argentina, I did not receive any telephone calls or emails from the club and neither did Jonas.” The barrister acting for Mike Ashley and Newcastle United, Sean Jones, asked Ms Montore to explain why she hadn’t raised any concerns about discrimination directly with the club. Sean Jones: “If you had genuinely thought that your son was being discriminated against, rather than just treated insensitively, you would have raised it formally wouldn’t you?” Ms Montore replied: “I think you are trying to dress a monkey with a silk dress and trying to pretend that it is a princess.”
  10. That's because I think he'll have promised Rafa something & when Rafa trys to get it or needs it he'll be told no. If he can stick 2 fingers up at MPs i'm sure he'll find a way of doing it to Rafa.
  11. Why get rid of Hughton ? why undermine Keegan ? why disrespect Shearer ? He's bound to piss off Rafa
  12. More from Jonas court case. On the first day of the hearing in Birmingham on Tuesday, Gutierrez said in his witness statement: “I discussed my concerns about my groin with Paul Catterson, the club doctor, on three or four separate occasions as the discomfort and pain had not subsided. “On each occasion, he simply told me not to worry and dismissed these symptoms as nothing serious.” Also read: Jonas Gutierrez tells tribunal he was 'frozen out' by Newcastle United after cancer diagnosis Further alleging that he was then forced to play in 2013/2014’s opening fixture at Manchester City because a team-mate refused to play, Gutierrez asserted: “On the team bus I was surprised to be told by my manager that I was to play in this match. “This was because my Newcastle team-mate Yohan Cabaye had refused to play as he had requested a transfer from Newcastle to Arsenal. “Therefore despite not being fully fit and against doctor’s orders, I was selected to play from the start in the match against Manchester City.” Gutierrez was substituted just before half-time, having aggravated a pre-existing thigh injury, the tribunal was told. The player then failed to feature due to injury until making an appearance from the bench against Cardiff City on October 5 2013.
  13. This from Jonas court case today I hope he wins & gets all his compensation. The club should be ashamed of their selves over the way they treat Jonas over this. "Shortly after my return to the club (December 2014) from chemotherapy, I was called into Mr Pardew’s office. “Mr Pardew apologised for the way he had treated me in December 2013, when he told me I was not wanted by the club any longer but he said that this was not his decision. “I understood by this that the decision was actually that of the club’s owner, Mike Ashley.” At today’s proceedings, it is reported that Jonas Gutierrez broke down in tears during heated exchanges with lawyers representing Mike Ashley and Newcastle United. The Guardian saying that the club’s lawyer, Sean Jones, accused Jonas of being ‘just in it for the money’. Revealing that he was still having weekly counselling sessions following his treatment by Newcastle United, Gutierrez answered: “I am not here for the money. I want to do this for all people who have problems with their employers.” Jonas Gutierrez also criticised Newcastle United’s doctor, Paul Catterson, who he says took six months to take his concerns seriously. Jonas having first told him in May 2013 that he was experiencing pain in his left testicle during sexual intercourse or if he was wearing tight pants. Jonas Gutierrez: “He (Paul Catterson) simply told me not to worry and dismissed these symptoms as nothing serious.” Six months later, Jonas says he eventually began to take the player’s concerns seriously and booked him in for a scan, which was when doctors discovered a tumour in his left testicle. Then worried at the length of time taken for the tumour to be diagnosed and the alleged failings by the club doctor, Jonas Gutierrez decided to have his treatment back home in Argentina, which he paid for himself. The hearing continues.
  14. We'll end up with Beardsley in the Championship
  15. "Don't as ask for anymore money there's virtually nothing left"
  16. I still think he'd take the hit on selling the club it would be a drop in the ocean to him. In fact with the sale of a couple of players he might even break even. Is it a coincidence that since owning the club & receiving his free worldwide tv advertising his wealth has doubled?. In 2015 Forbes had him as the 10th richest man in the UK. Considering he doesn't take a salary from the club (I don't think he does) that advertising must be worth a fortune to him. If he loses that I just can't see him staying.
  17. Just thinking about this he's hardly going to say "if we get relegated I'm selling up" otherwise there'd be millions of fans around the world hoping for relegation.
  18. When asked further about his second stint in charge, Keegan said: “If I’d not done that I’d have felt better with my life because of the way it happened and the way I was treated, a lot of dishonesty and pretending to bid for players and not doing it. I just hope this doesn't happen to Rafa if we stay up if they try anything like that he'll be off like a shot.
  19. He tells@SkyNews he'll defy MPs who've called him to Parliament & called them "a joke"
  20. Mike Ashley has said that "he will be staying at Newcastle United whether the club end up in the Premier League or the Championship next season. The club’s owner told Sky News that he is hopeful that Rafa Benitez can keep the team up – but that whatever happens he and the Newcastle supporters ‘Are stuck with each other’ regardless" “It’s disappointing (not beating Sunderland) because I want to see Newcastle win every game. “I think that we have the right man (Rafa Benitez) in the job. If there is any chance of us staying up, let’s hope Rafa can do the business.”
  21. If we'd been playing fairly well early in the season like Palace & we're in a bit of a free fall you have a bit of hope that they'd regain that form to reach safety. But when we've been in and around the bottom 3 all season showing no signs of going on a run. Then with 8 games left the reality of relegation has to kick in. Even the most optomistic fans can see that.
  22. That's very Prince Charming of you
