  1. You can buy The Times for the date someone was born (or other specific dates) directly from them.
  2. It is a bit expensive and doesn't take that long to go around but there are a few fairly interesting talks if it is the first time you have been and if it is a nice day there are seals in a tank outside. The otters stink the place out though!
  3. When talking about the video on u-tube of Saddam Hussein's execution. The program was excellent last night - even Russell Watson wasn't too bad.
  4. Me too - I have Germany in the sweep stake at work but am going to find it hard to back them so need another option!

    Joy Division

I was going to see it at the re-opened Tyneside cinema yesterday but couldn't persuade anyone to go with me (and it was the last day).
  6. 15-17th is the first week of the new season so maybe it would depend on if we are at home? The new fixtures are out 16th June.
  7. It is generally not Solicitors firms that run these adverts but Claims Management companies who then try and sell the claims to Solicitors who much prefer it if people contact them direct rather than having to pay a middleman. Contrary to popular opinion a Solicitor will only accept a claim on a Conditonal Fee basis if there are good prospects of success or they won't get paid and the number of Personal Injury claims is actually decreasing rather than increasing. Is that in proportion to the number of claims that are being lodged? by that I mean, are the majority of claims not worth while, so the solicitors aren't taking them on and this workload means legitimate claims are falling by the wayside? All claims have to be registered with something called the Compensation Recovery Unit (part of DWP). The number of claims being registered is falling so less claims in total are being made.

  9. No win no fee or Conditional Fee is simply one method of funding offered by Solicitors in some types of work. The Solicitor should go through all of the funding options with you and advise if this is the most appropriate for the type of case you wish to pursue. They are only likely to accept a case on a no win no fee basis if the prospects of success are sufficiently high but once a case is accepted there is likely to be little difference in the way the case is pursued.

    Wine tasting

I have been to a few but was rubbish at guessing the wines and the cost and always end up hungover!
  11. I have stayed in both the Kings Cross and Farringdon Travelodges for £26 and both were fine.
  12. Definately shopping! You could also go on a tour of the San Siro but the area around it is a bit dodgy.
  13. They are trying to get season ticket holders to sign up too by giving you things like a tour and sports direct voucher and saying you can buy extra tickets e.g. for kids
  14. If you signed up for the membership scheme you can apply for tickets now.
  15. There is no way people will be able to make all the arrangements without you e.g. ordering their own food!

    Catmag

Happy birthday - I hope you have got the day off work!
  17. The only way I can face an away match at the moment is by making a night of it and drowning my sorrows - a night out in the City of Culture beckons!
  18. I think some of us are a bit disillusioned!
  19. I don't blame him at all - would you want to work with Dennis Wise and a Spanish Property developer? I have never been so depressed about the club for years. Appointing Keegan is a backward step, what has happened since is even worse. Shearer is too intelligent to have anything to do with it.
  20. Although Shearer wouldn't be my first choice I would prefer him to most of the names being suggested. Did Keegan have any previous managerial experience? Did Dalgleish beforehe won the Premiership with Liverpool and Blackburn? Did Roy Keane before he got Sunderland from the bottom of the league and then promoted and now within 6 points of us? Mark Hughes and Klinsman had none before there international appointments and didn't so too badly either.
  21. I'm going to the match (only because I signed up for the season ticket renewal with free tickets which they still haven't taken any payments for)! Don't think I'll make it to the pub because of work but if I have time I'll call in for a quick drink.
  22. I thought at the time he should have had longer given his previous track record but I think the football was just too much of a contrast directly after Keegan. Compared to what we have watched the last few years it probably wouldn't seem so bad!
  23. I agree - I don't think appointing Redknapp would be a step forward or help us become real challengers again. I guess Ashley and Mort think that at least the media like him so there will be lots of positive publicity but persoanlly I would prefer someone who has won something - there is no way Redknapp would be appointed by the top 4 clubs.

    Keegan

Keegan has come in to 7/1 on Paddy Power - the same as Hughes!
  25. At least he talks to the press after a match which would be an improvement!
