  1. Fucking hell, this is a terrible shock. RIP, Jon.

I only popped in here because I'd heard the news about Stevie's op this morning and wanted to pass on good wishes.

  2. Thanks all.

Yes, the lads did provide the perfect present. Enjoyed it enormously :nufc:

Had a bit going on over the last six months or so, including a health scare at present, but I should try to get myself back into the swing of things on here, I miss the banter.

  3. If Mcleish has lost the dressing room, and the villa fans have never liked him, I wonder if he fancies going back to Rangers? McCoist must be on the edge after giving up a big advantage in the league and getting knocked out of the scottish cup today.

  4. I do like it, but can understand why plenty don't, due to the stop-start nature of it.

I'm a Rams fan. I hope they still come for the Wembley game in October, but they need to sort out their lease issues with their stadium first.

  5. Do you do less than 15000 miles a year?

If you do, I'd look at the 1.4 TSI petrol Golfs/Leons. More bhp and less CO2 than the non-turbo engines they replaced, chain cam, and none of the potentially expensive problems with Dual-mass flywheels and particulate filters associated with modern diesel engines.

  6. I'd feel a bit more sorry for them if I hadn't seen one of their lot scrapping on the floor with a female steward at the pre-season game.

Having said that, there were pissed-up wankers from both sides there looking for trouble I supppose.

  7. I would because Demba Ba's knee is 'a ticking time bomb' © Pulis, and if AC came back, he would carry on where he left off. *

    * Neither of these things might be true, but in my mind they are. If he came back from the w-p's and started banging them in again, for a third of the price nothing would make me happier.

  8. You took them with a compact? hats off to you mate they look DSLR standard and so I'd say you've done extremely well to capture such good pics.

As for the laptop screen I had the same problem for a while, I ended up investing in a £250 screen as I realised that laptops aren't really the best thing to edit pics on but obviously thats a pretty major outlay and not for everyone.

Yep, everything I've posted on here I took with one of these: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonictz5/

They're a bit better than a standard point-and-click but they don't give full control. I obviously use a tripod for the low light ones, and give my pics a bit more pop with lightroom, but other than that, it just learning to get the best out of a compact.

  9. There's a possibility that the exposure isn't quite right on some of them (and a hint of lean) because I processed them on a laptop which doesn't have the best screen.

No ND filter, as they were taken with a compact.

EDIT: the waterfall is The Falls of Falloch, north of Loch Lomond.
