1. I'm almost certain i made a similar point in the Emre thread, we need a forward who can drop deep and start attacks, like Bergkamp. Any team would have been improved by Bergkamp though......

But once again i and my all too righteous and perceptive comments been overlooked, there's a blatant glass ceiling on this board  :icon_lol:

    Bunch of Babylonians, you lot...

Aye, but was your point as succint and eloquent?

I might be encouraged to be more wordy if you all keep saying 'GREAT post Chockers' after every blatantly obvious observation, remark or pole vote

  3. Needs a forward in front of him who drops deep to help start attacking moves, i don't think Malbraque is any kind of improvement really.

Emre's passing will look more impressive when he's actually got someone to pass to.

  4. Perhaps it smacks a little of lowered expectations that Roeder would be even a semi popular choice.  Admittedly he's done a canny job since he took over, but when he did start no one thought he was the long term option.

Didn't Souness do ok when he first took over?

    127355

Unbeaten run to end all unbeaten runs if my memory serves

    127361

Leazes was right to embrace the appoinment of Souness after all, may the rest of us hang our heads in shame.

    Except Gemmill, naturally ;)

  6. Roeder for me falls as "best of the rest". Not first choice but not a fuck up of Souness proportions, if we fail to get a big name top coach Roeder is the best bet. Don't want to end up with the rush job and employing another idiot.

Dalglish had a CV that pissed all over everybody.

Gullit was a trophy winner and a big name.

Robson was a manager of world wide repute and a trophy winner several times.

Even Souness was a trophy winner on a par with O'Neill.

So to say we don't or can't appoint big names or trophy winners is simply untrue.

Anyway, congratulations to Fred on the 2nd half season recovery are in order, as the majority on here blamed him for the terrible 1st half

    127345

    Only in your eyes ;)

  7. Not sure happy is the word, but satisfied I suppose.

    127289

Agreed. We could do better, we could do worse. We also have very little idea what he is capable of, he could surprise everyone.

He could be another Dinnis or McFaul, but its unlikely because we don't sell our best players anymore

    127300

Cole, Ferdinand, Ginola, Robert, Bellamy, Batty, Speed, Solano......

Didn't include Woodie for obvious reasons.

  8. I obviously can't also tell you the ex Blackburn player who tells about the potential leg breaking incident involving Souness when he was at Blackburn..

    120144

Are you talking about the Dwight Yorke 5-a-sides incident LM?

Thought that one was pretty much public knowledge, might even be in Yorke's book.

the fuckwit liar said it was a fair challenge though, the type that happens every day in training [words to that effect]

The incident confirmed his psychopathic tendencies, which some of us pointed out before the Bellamy incident, and amazingly some people STILL thought Souness, was right, and sound of mind ... despite ALL the proof to the contrary

    120283

    Especially Shepherd....

  9. I have to be really careful here, but my source has told me who the next manager is.

KIND HID     B)  ;)  ;)

Aye your right, I am insecure at the moment, I think a good slap round the head a nice meal for my gfriend tonight and an apology for last night should do some help.

If I had a girl as a friend who I told my current Gfriend was a stalker when I first met her and now we are friends and thats it.

Yeh she texts me about 10 times a week asking for favours, beers, a laugh etc how would she feel?

I she said no he doesnt, what would you like me to do?

I said well a bloke who is texting you and arranging beer etc etc is making me uncomfortable thats all. She still said no he doesnt fancy me, thats in the past. Id didnt want to push it and say that the cunt had been texting her asking to meet to chat for a bit as she knows ive been checking her texts.

She and I then were talking about our house we plan on getting and she said this lad was a pain!

I love her to bits, but it looks like I may have to leave her as this is getting on my fucking nerves and Ill end up knocking the shite out of him soon.

    116144

    Whoooooooooaaaaaaaaa Cowboy!

Just talk to her don't f**king leave her because you THINK something might be going on. Tell her you're a bit jealous, i think everyone likes it if they're partners are a bit jealous and see what she says. Maybe moving in together might be a move too soon in my most ignorant and humble of worthless opinions.

  15. I've heard there are some women out there who don't like giving head. I find this difficult to believe, surely natural selection would have weened them out by now...

    It's a strange world.

    115523

You fancy Joe Cole tbh, go on admit it! :D
