I've been to a few 'pound in a pint glass' establishments in my time, rarely has 'cracking' been on the tip of my tongue.
but a few other things have been on the tip of your tongue?

I think thats where the now infamous "your support is fuckin shit" was coined; its certainly the first time I heard it. That was one of the only times it was justified. Now its rolled out for a tiny club's fans from a little known Atlantic island.
That day in Cardiff was fantastic, the DJ played local hero before the game and we 'sung' along to it, he had to turn the volume up for the Man Utd song as we're drowned it out.
Your spot on about the Man Utd support that day, utter utter shit.

Definite red for me. He did well to foul in such a way he combined all the seperate reasons for a straight red, reckless, not in control, off the ground, studs showing

bang on cue

BBC Radio 5 live pundit and former Chelsea defender Graeme Le Saux from Emirates Stadium:
On Adebayor's red card: "He is genuinely going for the ball. In the heat of this game, I think it was a yellow card not a red card.
"To his credit, referee Howard Webb has given himself a lot of time to think about it. It was a tough decision.
"Both players have gone for the ball, seeing that at first glance I was wondering whether he was going to get a yellow card or not."

Be interesting to see how the media react to Adebayor's red card. It's more of a flying jump tackle than a sliding tackle, studs showing all the bad stuff.
Cazorla is lucky not to have a broken bone.

Colo will get a 3 match ban nothing more
-
Reading back over the thread, I'm pleased I didn't watch it on Sky.
For me Colo shouldn't have been sent off, it's all about consistency if Colo gets a red for that then Sterling gets at least a yellow in the first half.
-
How dare you say Xisco, I'll have you know he's scored a hat trick for the reserves tonight
-
Had eyes for the ball, if this is now a sending off, your looking at one or two red cards a game
-
If it was a red card, every match would end 8 a side. Watch it again live, ignore any replay as the ref doesnt have that, it's a yellow card at worst
Martin Atkinson is a terrible ref

nerves going a bit now, still can't see past a win for us. They've been slating Cisse and Santon for months, so can see either one or both scoring

Knew I'd come on here to find a load of anti serb stuff.
Of course, any racist abuse is utterly deplorable and if there is evidence that the Serb fans did so then they should be punished accordingly. And clearly the football crowds unfortunately do have a significant hooligan and racist element to them, like Britain did not so long ago, and depending where you sit in what ground still exists today. Chelsea and Anton Ferdinand, for example.
But then broad generalisations on the behaviour and attitudes of an entire country are racist also. I'm not just talking about xenephobic, knuckle dragging, ignorant and loudmouth dickheads like Stevie dishing out "the worst people in Europe" (I'll pass that on to my family, thank you) but stuff I've read in the press also refer to the Serbian people as one, homogenous racist entity. Every condemnation by most reasonable people of Islamic fundamentalists is rightly qualified with "of course, the vast majority of muslims are tolerant, peace loving and condemn the actions of extremists" yet this is a luxury never afforded to the Serbs, if you want to make them the bad guys in your film/TV series/newspaper articles then it's open season.
living in Slovenia, I'm told the Serbians are the good guys and i should hate Croatians ;-)
As a side note, Serbians I've met in person are just normal people and the racist element is definitely a minority. Football there is a bit cheaper there so you get more of the wrong types of society turning up for their games.
13th March 2013 - Croatia vs Serbia - now that will be interesting
-
Um, I'm pretty sure it was only LuckyLuke that was lobbing his ferret down that kind of rathole
"fucking hating each other"
-
anyone else sick of reading how we/they are "obsessed"; "bitter"; "classy"
can we just stick to fucking each other, the build to the derby is tedious as fuck now with twitter/facebook etc
-
Racism seems to still be a big problem some of the former Yugo countries wanting in to the EU, Croatia and Serbia
-
Just watching the England under21 game, we scored in the last minute and it all kicks off. ESPN saying Serbian fans and players have racially abused Danny Rose.
Staff from both benches having a right punch up.
England players currently not allowed to leave the dressing room by the serbian police!

happy birrthday to the living legend that is Shola Ameobi
-
As others have said, you fail to do the footballing basics against Man Utd, you get beat. The first two goals were ridiculous
-
I was warned not to drink in Raffertys as it's a rough pub, i didn't realise they meant "rough" in that kind of way
-
would expect an easy victory against a weak villa team, even Shay looks sick as fuck these days
-
Your right about the ground been a shit tip, it doesn't look as bad TV as the camera faces the big stand. Been a few times (ah Nobby 4-3, top of the league), we are fucking spoiled in Newcastle you can walk from many a city centre pub to St James. The nearest thing i could spot near Elland Road was a fucking McDonald's.
I suppose the only advantage to them been back in the premier league for us is, it's a fairly 'close' away game and we have a decent'ish record down there
-
Probably a penalty but annoying as fuck.
I'd prefer it years ago when you were fouled for a penalty.
A player winning a penalty is shite.
-
minor set back, i'm sure we'll turn it around
-
normally stay away from match threads as i'm bad luck, should i fuck off now or stay to see if we can turn it around

A win could be 'just the ticket' and could send us onwards and 'upstairs'
