  1. Apparently Newcastle bid 6 million £ but Arsenal wanted 9 million £ and aren't budging. It looks to be dead
  2. All very good points, but they're just not true. Barton wanted a longer contract on lower wages. The club stopped all negotiations way before Barton let loose on twitter. Nolan had a agreed a contract, but the club changed their offer when he had to put pen to paper. There are two sides to those stories and you seem to believe the ones that have admitted to the fact, that they have lied to the public about their dealings. Incorrect. Bartons own agent said Barton had agreed to sign then changed his mind. I'll repeat.....Bartons agent. He was also the same agent that was called in to a meeting, only to be let know, that there wouldn't be any further discussions after they wanted a longer contract

  4. Bendtner is decent and has massive potential. Unfortunately he's deluded and a major sulk. He hasn't delivered in more than 3 years now. He'd be a handful for any manager, and it'll bound to go wrong if he came to Newcastle - unless he gets his head out of his arse
  5. Turns down January contract when he has concerns regarding the direction of the club. When his concerns are found to be well warranted and he calls the owners out on it, instead of responding appropriately they offer him up for free because it's easier to do. Barton turned down the initial offer in January. He wanted a longer contract, out of respect for his family, and were willing to take a paycut. The club didn't comeback with another offer, and when they finally did sit down again, it was only so that the club could tell Barton and his representatives, that there would be any deals. Only after that did Barton start voicing his opinion on twitter. He had said something before, to the media. Simpson, Routledge and Enrique also voiced their concern with the club. And Barton didn't slag the off. He voiced his concerns, but did it in a civil manner. He didn't call anyone a cunt or twat. He might have been out of order doing so, but he attacked the way they conduct business, and not the ones that conducted business. Barton didn't need to orchestrate a way out of his contract. Newcastle did that for him, when they said they wouldn't negotiate anymore.
  6. More twitter drama in the works
  7. Days after the Murdoch hearing in England, journalist called kids trying to flee and hide from the gunman on Utøya. I'm completely lost for words, on how a journalist can think it's okay to call up people, teenagers, for eyewitness accounts, while they are running for their lives.

  13. The Venky's Group, owners of Blackburn Rovers Football Club, has today confirmed the departure of manager Sam Allardyce and assistant manager Neil McDonald withimmediate effect. First team coaching duties will be taken on by Steve Kean (currently 1st team coach) for the immediate future. We have taken this decision as part of our wider plans and ambitions for the club. We would like to put on record our thanks to Mr Allardyce for his contribution to Blackburn Rovers Football Club. http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,...2243513,00.html

  17. Whole of stadium was applauding him, when he was stretchered off. He took of the oxygen mask, and put his hand up and waved at everyone.
  18. I wouldn't mind giving that a read, if anyone would be so kind to forward me the PM. thanks
  19. Donkey really needs to move on and Lovenkrands is a puff and shouldn't expect to be more than a squad player. Can u not see Lovenkrands heading to Bolton or someone tho and nabbing 10/12 goals in the season? I don't think Løvenkrands has any plans on moving on, if he fails to get a starting place. I think his thoughts are on family stability, after a couple of turbulent years. And he seems to love the area. I think if we're doing ok (mid-table) he'd be quite happy being a squad player / impact sub here. That's about his level anyway. If he finds some of his former self, i think he might have a bit to offer. But unfortunately, like so many others, bad decisions and injuries have put him back quite alot. Also, he could provide some cover for the wings also. He was never a forward when playing for Denmark

  21. I'd imagine, that if Manchester Utd was in for him, that deal would've be done and sorted ages ago.
  22. The press seems to be all over this alleged nazi salute. It have already hit the tabloid headlines in Denmark
  23. I haven't seen this elsewhere either, but Jóan Símun Edmundsson has signed a one year deal with an option for a further year with Newcastle. Apparently he was at the club, up untill now, on a loan. It was reported on a danish football website
