  1. I'm afraid that bit sounds like bullshit given the current state of our finances. 3.5 million rupees maybe. Honestly I think there probally is some truth in Løvenkrands signing with Newcastle. The whole wage thing is grossly overestimated though. Only fact from the Løvenkrands camp is, that he is in talks with an english club
  2. So what you're saying is all the good 'work' we did reducing an unsustainable wage bill was so that we could re-sign an out of contract player on a wage that's higher than we were paying Martins? I'm only reporting the reported. Personally I do think that the number is a "bit" to high
  3. :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: It does sound a bit unlikely. Danish newspaper are making the story out like Løvenkrands has had the golden touch of Dionysus
  4. Several danish medias are now reporting that Løvenkrands have signed with Newcastle, and he have confirmed, that he is in talks with an english club. Apparently he'll be on about 3.5 million £ a year, with a payrise if Newcastle are promoted. Storied have come out in Ekstra Bladet this morning, and BT this afternoon.
  5. Well it won't be Ilsø or Albrecthsen. They both been signed by danish club FC Midtjylland
  6. Word out of Denmark today is, that no clubs here wants to take Løvenkrands onboard, since he'd be on something like 25.000-27.000 £ a week.
  7. Martin Albrecthsen got released from Derby the other day as well. he must be great being released from Derby ffs I never did say he was great. But according to him, it was because the manager didn't like him, he didn't get to play, and eventually was released. He was great in the danish premiership, and did a decent job for WBA and later Derby. But it has been pretty quite around him recent years. But my point was, that the guy was free and a defender, so he MIGHT be an option.
  8. Martin Albrecthsen got released from Derby the other day as well.
  9. SønderjyskE coach, Michael Hemmingsen, has today been moaning about possibilities of players leaving. With earlier talk about Ken Ilsø and Sölvi Ottesen, it might be them. But it's also rumored, that SønderjyskE would like something around 1.3 million £ for Ilsø... so then again
  10. New story today, about Løvenkrands. According to himself, he knocked back Villareal recently. He wants to stay in Britain, because of his children. He hasn't heard anything from the club as of yet, though.
  11. Quoted on Sky as being happy to come back as well. Danish striker Peter Lovenkrands has revealed he would welcome the opportunity to secure a return to Newcastle United. Lovenkrands left St James' Park at the end of last season after scoring three goals in 12 Premier League appearances following his arrival in January. He has yet to find a new team and has recently been training with former club Rangers as he weighs up his options for the coming season. Newcastle's caretaker boss Chris Hughton reportedly wants the 29-year-old back in his squad and Lovenkrands confirmed he would be keen to rejoin the club despite their relegation to the Championship. Interested "Of course I would be interested in coming back to Newcastle," Lovenkrands told The Journal. "I really enjoyed my time at the club and would certainly be interested in hearing what they had to say. "As far as I know there has been nothing concrete from them although there has been a bit of interest. I have had a few offers from other clubs as well and there are a few things on the table at the moment for me. "I know Newcastle are a Championship club now, but they still have great fans and I don't think they will be in the Championship for long." Same story is doing the rounds in Denmark now. It reeks of desperation, and I think Newcastle has the better hand here.
  12. I think it's The Long Sands. www.thelongsands.co.uk
  13. His agent has said, there is no offers as of yes. Just declared interest, which means nothing. Maybe there has been an agent convention where they talk up players from a danish nothing club
  14. What do you reckon the likelihood of this guys agent also being the other guys agent? Ottesens agent is Gudlaugur Tomasson. Ken Ilsø has Marco Bennes
  15. SønderjyskE bought him for 80.000 more or less, and I'd imagine he could be bought for around 4-500.000
  16. Seems a no nonsense centerback, with a bit of pace in him. SønderjyskE are a rough playing and well organised team. He might have potential. But if there is any validity to the story, I have no idea
  17. The other day I mentioned Newcastle having scouts at Aalborg BK - SønderjyskE to look at Ken Ilsø. Today reports are, that Newcastle are in for SønderjyskE defender Sölvi Ottesen, according to bold.dk and Berlingske Tidende. Celtic apparently offerede him a trial last summer, but he didn't leave it seems. Good Ol' wikipedia claiming it to be a done deal btw http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%B6lvi_Ottesen
  18. Would be happy if he came back tbh. Decent player with a bit of pace. He seems pretty desperate to find a new club, since he earlier this summer stated, that the danish premiership might was a valid option for him. He would be pretty motivated, since he's eyeing a place in the national team. Furthermore no other club have apparently shown him any interest
  19. Danish football site, bold.dk, today reports, that News Of The World is running a story about Peter Løvenkrands might return to Newcastle. His agent was wouldn't comment on it, which might mean there is something about it, or they are just happy to have his name thrown about, since he apparently is pretty desperate to be in contention for the national team again. It's been pretty quiet around Løvenkrands since he left Newcastle.
  20. Been highly rated for a couple of years, but still muck about in one of the small clubs. Seems to have a fair bit of pace, and alot of ability on the ball regarding dribling. He could probally do a good job, and wouldn't be awefully expensive final product? decent finisher or a cross on him? He seems a decent finisher, but doesn't get that many goals. But i don't really know that much about him, other than the big clubs in Denmark has been sniffing around him for the last 6 months, and that his club seems pretty resigned to loose him. Definatly one of the better players, and played for Herenveen before joining SønderjyskE

  22. Just heard on the telly, that Newcastle has scouts eying up ken Ilsø from SønderjyskE in the danish premiership, at todays match between Aalborg BK and SønderjyskE. He can play as a striker and a winger. Sheffield United are also present. The story should be pretty valid
  23. Newcastle need someone who won't back down in a row. Someone who is willing to call bullshit. And then of course, someone willing to actually take the job. Not alot of those people around these days. I think people are pinning there hopes on Shearer won't be bullied around
  24. Dude.... Rommedahl is a spastic footballer. He has NO ability as a player, a part from pace, whatsoever. Comparing any living being to Rommedahl is a cardinal sin. Furthermore, there has been no quotes from Løvenkrands regarding this story in BT and i haven't been able to find any other places
  25. In Denmark it's pretty comon to pick up another (english) team, apart from the your local, to support during the long horrid winterbreak. Also matches are mostly played on sunday, so we usually watch some games on the tv on saturdays, getting pissed, and warming up to a horrible early bus travel sunday morning. My affection for Newcastle came, when Jon Dahl Tomasson was bought by Newcastle. I always had a sweet spot for him, and loved him as a player. Eventought that didn't work out for both, my affection for Newcastle didn't leave
