  1. Not handed a transfer request, but asked to leave, sounds like agent nonsense to get a move and loyalty bonus. If that's the case I'd tell him to jog on. Transfer request or no move.
  2. What's Sol Campbell up to nowadays...
  3. This to me is a great buy. When was the last time we bought a first choice international full back from a top country?
  4. Cabaye has said he's signed on his Facebook page. Maybe the club is trying to tie it up with Pato for a joint announcement...
  5. Got to admit that I didn't think he'd find a club willing to take the risk.. The only good thing is that it is on Jan 2nd and not Jan 30th.
  6. Totally agree stevie, he was bang out of line. Reckon the crowd may react to it tonight by supporting MvG. Went to the darts on Saturday for the quarter finals. It is an absolutely cracking day out. Great atmosphere, nee bother, loads of ale and really well organised.
  7. 10 years ago... I'd be saying sign him up. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12961/8338688/Lucio-leaves-Juventus-by-mutual-agreement-after-failing-to-make-an-impression
  8. Don't worry about it Stevie, just bask in the glory of three well earned points on Saturday.. My long term memory is my problem. I reckon it's stress, having a pretty demanding job and a minuscule brain. My memory for work related stuff is ok, but personal and leisure just won't stay in my head.
  9. Debuchy and Tom Ince I'd be trampling all over the rush to get Will Hughes as well. He's going to be quality.
  10. I don't understand why organisations such as this are consistently run by ex-footballers. It's a business, making business decisions, it should be run by business people.
  11. I went to Inter and Olympiakos the last time we played there. Both great away trips. My away day requirement are as follows - cheap flights, limited chance of being stabbed and pints at less than six euro. I fancy Sparta Prague as an away day and Athletico Madrid too would be amazing.
  12. Reckon we may even see Xisco as opposed to Shola. Amalfitano will start I reckon Think he may have to risk Williamson and play Tav at RB. Whatever, it's going to be a car crash of a side.
  13. To bin Pardew for the current run of form would be mental. We have regularly had three first teamers out at any one time. That's not unheard of, but to compound it we haven't even been able to replace the first teamer with the second string player. Obertan hasn't come in for HBA, Gosling or Vukcic have been injured at the same time as Cabaye. Perch was injured at the same time as Tiote was suspended. The fact is that Bigirimana, Anita, Sameobi and Ferguson have all played too much premier league football this season. FWIW I think Anita is getting better game by game, but in an ideal world he would have been given more time to acclimatise to the league.
  14. We are suffering from a lack of training is how I see it. We had practically no midweek games to contend with last season and loads this season. It's fine if you are winning games, switching up the squad and playing with confidence, but doesn't help if you are struggling for form and have selection problems. Re: Dabizas, you've got rose coloured glasses, he was very ordinary.
  15. 8/12 and I've got my badges!!!
  16. As someone who referees up to four times a week, it isn't black and white. It's about context a lot of the time. A player swears for all sorts of reasons, sometimes out of frustration at himself. Those saying that's 'fecking bullshit' as they wander back in to position because they disagree with your decision are just potty mouthed and not really deserving of a card. There are some refs who have an intolerance to bad language though and will lob about cards for that sort of thing. The one that I always clamp down on is the snarly in your face types and those who throw abuse/name calling. FWIW, there are referees who wouldn't want to be miked up because they'll be pretty terse with players as well.
  17. Still not got a ticket. If anyone knows of a spare, please DM me.
  18. Anyone got 35+ loyalty points and not going? Ticket situation still looking grim.
  19. Just bought one today. £289 for an iPad2 on groupon. £349 for the iPad3. I don't have a lap top, so this is for general browsing, without having to sit at the desk top.
  20. Went to see Killing Them Softly last night. I was disappointed to be honest. Had all of the ingredients but none of the execution.
  21. http://www.mizozo.com/entertainment/02/2011/11/kelly-brook-goes-completely-nude-for-exhibition-ma....html Can't believe that 19 months of my life have passed without me seeing these!!
  22. Usually a load of NUFC in the Three Guineas, which is attached to the station... To be honest, you'll be fine anywhere in the town centre though.
  23. Still going too. Seems daft, if they'd given us 6,000 tickets, it is 4,500 more people in a controlled situation, rather than in a boozer, drinking heavily in the middle of their town.
  24. I'm not convinced it's in at all. You can't see the entire left hand arc of the ball. And given that the line is actually wider than the posts, it's even less 'in'. At full speed, from 30 yards, it's virtually impossible to see. Any linesmen giving that is guessing imho. Good decision for me, the one 8 seconds afterwards should get the referee banned though. Whatever you do as a referee, you cannot try to right one wrong with a second one. FWIW, I thought he'd had a good game to that point.
