If Babayaro gets injured then Ramage should be given a go at LB, im sure he's more capable than Elliott. Otherwise I can't see the lad ever getting a chance.

He's just looking to bring in better quality than what we already have and all credit to him, theres no point buying a couple Andy O'Briens for the sake of making up the numbers. What we need is a quality LB, RB and RW and perhaps another Striker (would of went for Keane personally in the JJ deal). I'd be over the moon if we managed to bring back nobby for straight cash.

I dont see any reason why he will get better just because he is at spurs. If he ever does fulfill his potential then he will be a decent player, but with his performances with us over the years he looks weak in too many areas for this to happen until he's at least in his late 20's. Its not worth the wait IMO and i dont think he'll get there in his spurs career. At £7m its good business, although i dont like the three year installments, but at least we will get the money in the end, and put it towards a better player.

I don't think getting rid of either will make much difference. But i'd go for Shepard over Souness as losing a manager again will knock us back even further, and who exactly is gonna come in? It will probably be either Shearer or O'Leiry and they will not be able to change things anymore than Souness. Yes, we have gone backwards since Souness came in, but I feel that had Bobby stayed we would of finished no higher than we did. The squad he built was unbalanced and on the demise for some time. Im am glad to see the backs of players like Robert, O'Brien, and Bellamy who were taking the club nowhere. Bellamy is a great player but his attitude cancels out his talent. I think Souness has done well with the players he has kept i.e Dyer and Bramble who looked shite and on their way under Bobby, and the players he has signed have been a class above those that went. We have been shite in the last to games but this is due to our squad being thread bare with a injuries, we were better than Arsenal in the first game and with Luque and another striker we should be up there with the best when everyone is fit. Although there is no denying that we need more depth in the squad to really compete, hopefully if Jenas fucks off then the money in can be put towards this.

I can't say im too bothered about Owen wanting to go to Liverpool, if we get him here permanently and play to our potential then he'll grow to love the club. Whereas if we play shit then any good player will want to leave after a season or two, whether its Owen or Kuyt .

If theres a chance we can get a quality prem proven striker like Owen on a permanent basis then i'd take him anyday. Kuyt could turn out like Kezman and theres no saying he wants to join us either.

I think Boumsong has been poor lately constantly caught out of position, Taylor has done well considering it was only his 15/16 start. When Bramble is back i say drop Boumsong.

I think this is possibly the best plan. If we have offered £18m then liverpool will not be buying him. Think about it, what were our chances of loaning him? Liverpool would have jumped in with a loan move straight afterwards and he would of went to them. Souness has said REAL will not do a loan move now there is money on the table, this will make Owen & Liverpool realise a permanent deal is his only option, although i bet if Owen did refuse to come permanently then we would do all we can to loan him still.

Theres no way the £18m is part of the clubs transfer money. Im pretty sure it will be coming from northern rock, simiar to the 'Rooney' situation.

I don't think these players are worth more than our reported final bids whether we have the money or not, we shouldn't be taken as mugs.
