  1. If Defoe gets injured they're fucked. Anichebe is absolutely shite. They'll be loving him at the moment after 3 in last two but he averages about a goal in every 7 league games and has never scored more than 6 in a season. And he's played for Moyes most of that time so it's not likely he's going to find more in him now than he ever has before. I still don't expect them to go down mind as whoever described them as the turd that won't flush was bang on. If they do survive they'll be just as shit as ever though. Short seems just as bad as Ashley ever has been with us and shows no signs of changing his ways.
  2. You could say the championship is more frenetic that pacier maybe.
  3. Tbh I think he's had much worse games for us this season than Saturday. It's just a shame that it's not working for him at the moment because he's clearly a talented player.
  4. Yeah I mean, you could say that Diame has filled it adequately given how we're doing. I just think it's the difference from us being the efficient team that we are, to us being one that will tear the opposition to shreds.
  5. Perez hasn't shown those qualities this season either. Nearly all season we've been like a man down in that position. It's been the only area of our game that hasn't functioned properly imo. Even Dummett hasn't really been a problem. I don't think it's much of a coincidence that our best performance has been the one game that Perez actually played well for a change. Like I said, I think playing players who are in form, even if it means changing the role a bit, would benefit us more.
  6. I'm not sure he's waited intentionally, or if he just couldn't find anyone in the summer. Assuming we're still going well come January, I doubt it's a position he'll look to fill then though. I'd expect him to wait until the summer when he can look for a better quality one.
  7. It might be true that Perez is more suited to the premier league but whatever he may or may not be doing off the ball, it's not enough to justify his place for me. And it should have no impact on his ability to pass to a teammate. Personally I think the argument about Rafa playing two up front is a bit redundant when he's already doing it anyway. Perez is a striker and although he plays a bit more withdrawn than the others I don't think it's anything that Gayle couldn't do better at the moment behind Mitro. To me it makes much more sense to try and play your in form players together than ones who are out of nick. But then again we're clear at the top of the table on our longest ever wining streak and Rafa has the best start of any manager here. So it's not like it's something worth complaining about.
  8. I've got a mate in his mid 30's who pisses the bed every time he gets drunk (which is on average twice a week). You have to be very watchful of him if you're at someone's house and he starts looking tired. His brother's words were "he doesn't even not to do it anymore". Funnily enough I don't try not to piss the bed either, it's just come natural to me since I was about 18 month old.
  9. Thought it was like a training game yesterday for the most part. About ten minutes aside we were comfortable as fuck. Wasn't at all impressed with the champions of Europe.
  10. I'm in the same position really. Can't say I've listened to a lot of their stuff. I'll have to try and download more of their albums before I go.
  11. Glad to hear that after I've just got tickets to see DSL next year. Only £27 like. I've only listened to their latest album once so far but I really like it.
  12. He said everyone other than Aaron's was available yesterday didn't he?
  13. Oh aye, it wasn't really a criticism, just emphasising how good Broad and Anderson are really.
  14. That's the one thing Stokes struggles to give you at this level like. Did it a couple of times for Durham at the back end of the season but doesn't manage it against top class batsman.
  15. Aye looks like he's batting on a different pitch and all that
  16. Aye particularly given neither of them is in top condition
  17. Aye no big collapse today but gave away too many daft wickets to have a real chance. Will need some big performances from the top order in the second innings to get the draw. At least the pitch hasn't fell apart. I suspect Broad was a bit unlucky there.
  18. Aye it's not his game at all so you worry that he's not going to be able to keep it up without giving away his wicket. And if these two go without getting some significant runs we're going to be looking at the follow on.
  19. Definite technical issue for him that he needs to work on. That's at least two of his three dismissals over there that have been exactly the same.
  20. Aye Root dropped him right in it for me. Which is a shame because while he was scoring very slowly, he hadn't looked in any trouble.
  21. It's funny what being irrelevant does to the fans of some teams.
  22. Did anyone else imagine that being read in that camp yorkshire accent that they all seem to have?
