I used to love Football Italia, never missed the Saturday morning round-up or the Sunday game, used to have me mam make sure my Sunday lunch was ready when the game was on, with Peter Brackley commentating and Luther Blisset in the studio. I rather miss giving a fuck about football other than Newcastle/the Premiership, there's just too much of it to bother.

How many other clubs could go down twice with a record low points total, and just bounce straight back up? They went down with 19 points, flogged off every single one of their Premiership standard players, totally penniless and yet it was play-offs then promotion again, winning the league into the bargain. The players who got them promoted two seasons ago were shite, that's why they went down with 15 points the season after, but those players walked away with the Championship under McCarthy. It's like the club just knows it's bigger than the Championship, no matter who they have on the playing staff. I think we'll see them in the Premiership next year too, straight back from a 15 point season. Hopefully their cycle will continue and they'll get 11 next. I'm sure we all wonder where we'd be today if Sir Leslie had put any of those chances past Schmeichel that night.

God, there was some terrible cheesy American shite on when I was a kid. I used to watch this, Saved By The Bell, Hang Time, Sister Sister, Kenan and Kel, Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, City Guys, Malibu CA and if I was REALLY bored, the odd episode of Hanging with Mr Cooper, Moesha, USA High and even Blossom, I mean all of them were just the worst type of shite, awful scripts, awful acting, awful sets, just absolutely dreadful. I always liked Heartbreak High though, that Aussie thing they used to show on BBC Two.

How long is it since we gave anyone a real thrashing? Pompy 3-0? West Brom 3-0 twice last year... Not many like. I'm not talking threes and fours. We used to put five, six or seven past sides regularly (well, a couple of times a season). Don't think we've had one of those since before Sourmess. People who disrupt the whole traffic system of Newcastle city centre by parking in the left hand lane and think it's ok because they have their hazard lights on. Worst places for this are just coming off the Swan House roundabout onto Mosley St, there's always some wanker of a delivery driver or a taxi clogging up the entire Tyne Bridge and roundabout - resulting in traffic being affected for miles around, and going the other way from Westgate Road down Collingwood St and Mosley St onto the roundabout. The worst time for that is Friday and Saturday nights and it's always taxi drivers. Should have traffic wardens on constant patrol at those times imo. Anyone who pulls up for more than a minute, fine them.
