  1. If the two Koreas start fighting, will they get thrown out of the World Cup like Yugoslavia were thrown out of the '92 Euros?

Could be a way for those plucky Irish to get into the tournament. Can just see a prick like Robbie Keane on Sky Sports News going 'obviously it's a shame that North Korea nuked Seoul but it's good that justice has been done and we're going to the World Cup. These things have a way of working themselves out in football.'

  2. There is something about Ed Balls I really don't like, the story about him getting 3 points for driving while on his mobile with his kids in the car didn't help either. Although, that is totally irrational. David Milliband for me seems a lot more human than his brother Ed, who comes across as an uncomfortable social spastic.

    .

I don't like the fact Balls was a Brown lap dog who undermined by any means necessary whoever he was told to. And the prick obviously relished the role too. Also very convenient how he got his new constituency seat.

I could slag off the other three realistic contenders for plenty of things too, just I dislike Balls more than them.

  3. Balls, Burnham, the Milibands, what an uninspiring choice. Cosseted career politicians who've never had a job in the real world and have about as much substance as spit on a pavement.

I love the way they're all being repentent about Labour's failures as they see them that helped them lose the election. Of course if they'd managed to get in they wouldn't be crusading now on the same topics would they?

Balls is my choice to get it though. Horrible, horrible bastard who'll get tainted by the stink of failure in opposition. And added to the fact that loads of his own side hate him too, it'll finish him as any sort of relevant politician.

Sacrifice a freaky goggle eyed, nasty piece of work pawn for the greater good.

  4. Didn't they say this last year at around the same time, i.e. when B&Q start selling garden furniture etc.?

The Met Office.... sponsored by Homebase ;)

A sinister conspiracy, though the grovelling apologies from the Met Office a few months after getting it badly wrong have been quite amusing. Not enough to make up for crap weather, but still.

I'd trust Smooth Jimmy Apollo to get a weather forecast right than the Met Office's 'experts'. His 52% strike rate has to be better than the Mets.

  5. I'm not leaping on the bandwagon here but I've always thought that John Terry is an utter, utter cunt.

he is like steeeeeeveee geeee (who I also despise)

just gets away with cheating all the time because hes john terry, england player

with gerrard its diving and back talking refs constantly and with terry is leaping at players with his arms up blocking with his arm/hands and nothing ever being fucking given for it as well as fouling and back talking refs constantly

Stevie G's usual tactic of when things aren't going well for his team to fly in with dangerous challenges always gets overlooked by pundits. Remember his two footed lunge at Solano back in 2003. Horrible scouse bastard.

  6. Sorry if this has been mentioned before (just seen this thread and going to wade through it this afternoon as I love stuff like this)

The wankers in the newsagent queues that buy loads of scratchcards after deliberating which ones to get, and then get the lass behind the counter to check a sheaf of lottery tickets. Takes bloody ages for them to finish getting served.

  7. Has taken him a good few games to get up to speed after his injury lay offs in the past, nowt unique in that, but I'm not counting on him being much of a contributor in the remaining fixtures.

  8. It's the supporters that are the best thing about the club. I don't think that'll ever be lost.

The thing that's sickened me this season apart from the obvious clowns in charge of running the club has been the attitude of some of the players. It's as if they're doing us a favour by being at the club, try putting a shift in and make some effort for your money.

I've seen bad players and bad teams before at Newcastle, but this mob who are paid absolute top whack for the garbage they deliver on the pitch, it knocks me sick.

And that's before you even mention the fact you can't pick up a paper without a Newcastle player or coach bullshitting in the press about how they're not that bad really. I liked the old fashioned way of doing your talking on the pitch.

  9. Pacific North West pre season tour of Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, that would be a decent trip.

Not sure how beneficial it would be to getting off to a good start in the league, but as we're nailed on to be shite whatever what difference would it make. . .

  10. Not sure what to make of this (Although sounds positive). I would ask;

Is it a serious ambition to own a stake in the club?

Has this ever happened at a large british club?

Didn't the Man U Supporters' Trust have a reasonable sized stake in the club pre-Glazer? It's obviously a lot easier to achieve when the club is a PLC, I can't see Ashley selling a stake to NUSC any time soon.

Almost 10% iirc, they got really well organised when Rupert Murdoch tried to take Man U over.

Counted for nowt in the end though when the Irish pair sold their shares to Glazer, but it was a very good effort.
