  1. Love the cunt who thinks the ref booking Van Der Ven made a difference. Also "Take this team down to the vet and tell the family they're happy living on a farm"
  2. He did it a couple of times when he first started on MOTD but I think he was called out for it and I haven't noticed him doing it for quite a while.
  3. I think you're correct in that it wouldn't be used "conversationally" but I lament the loss of all of the songs containing it - "They call us Newcastle United" was always a favourite of mine.
  4. It's also nicely distracted from the discovery of mass graves at hospitals in Gaza.
  5. Labour policy is to use the money to deport more asylum seekers just not to Rwanda.
  6. We are a true United though - formed by the amalgamation of Newcastle West End who had the ground and Newcastle East End who had the better team/setup.
  7. I'm a fundamentalist zealot on the United thing but I let off actual Mancs for it.
  8. They won't countenance closer alignment with the EU as long as their focus groups of cunts tell them they don't want it.

    marra

I would say ket/kets for sweets is more strongly Mackem than the other things mentioned.

    marra

I didn't hear it much growing up but I remember my Mam using it occasionally. We used to drink in the old Black and White pub for a spell, probably in the late 80s and I rember overhearing the owner describing some bother there'd been when we weren't in - he said it kicked off when someone ordered a round and ended the order with "marra" and one of the regulars had shouted "Mackem" and chinned him. I think now it's a good piss take considering how much they use it on RTG. I also agree with HMHM about haway/howay - I think that's a manufactured wedge thing.
  11. To an extent, yes (on the cautious approach) but I think there are "positive" votes to be had as well which they may not get. One of the biggest attacks on Starmer will be the Savile thing which no amount of caution or reason will appease.
  12. I think some Tory "defectors" will be frightened back on board with a vicious election campaign.
  13. It's the fact that the whip's spreadsheet records things that should be police matters that's the dodgy thing.
  14. Not looking good for that fifth CL place.
  15. I watched a local youtuber's take on this which made sense (Arena site development already started so not an option etc) and he reckoned the problem with Castle Leazes was some student accommodation blocks which are being demolished and replaced with an expanded scope which made it a non-starter. His conclusion was rebuild SJP post Euros but his suggestion of moving to a temporarily expanded Gateshead stadium during the build made it unlikely imo.
  16. Is there not a cup we can draw Real Madrid in just so we've got the full set for the season? Thpugh we did get Man City twice.
  17. I've just seen the Chelsea penalty spat - it wasn't quite Bowyer/Dyer but it was quite nasty - I'm surprised the ref didn't at least dish out some yellows.
  18. So was the one about Johnson and his lass having fleas and infesting Downing St a parody or not?
  19. Guardiola laughing like a cunt today.
  20. When the ICJ case gave their verdict, they accused the UNWRA of being Hamas to deflect the story by using torture and lies. Now the cowards in the west have "noticed" the extent of their bloodlust that's been there in their words and deeds since the outset, they've provoked Iran to deflect again and have the nerve to cite international law and go crawling to the UN who they literally accused of being Hamas a couple of months ago. It's sad there are horrible people willing to react when poked but it should be clear who the worst of the lot are.
  21. They need to show the one given against Burn (Luton?) for the foul continuing into the box to show up the corruption.
