At one point late on I was thinking whether there were any of their players I'd like to see have their leg broken (Yes, I can get stupidly bitter about football at times) but unlike other clubs I disappointingly couldn't think of any and satisfied my need for hatred by thinking of their fans' cozy love-in with the mackems.
There were also some very Scouse/Man Utd style spoilt bastards in the crowd highlighted by the coverage but that's just the way it goes - as someone else said we'd probably be the same but I suppose it's a price worth paying for the success.

I always thought kets was a Mackem term as I'd never heard it before I went to school there.
I did grow up about 300 yards from a colliery so I don't think it was strictly a pit thing either.

The narrative since Thatcher and that a lot of the tory pensioner demographic believe is that Unions are evil.
I'd guess mainly by "professionals" who never belonged to one and believe all the rights and benefits they had/have appeared out of nowhere or are down to their "hard work".
