Verdict on this reject is simple, he's as good as Ameobi and a whole load of other players that Souness puts his faith in. FFS Luque and Ameobi would struggle to reach double figures in the goals tally, never mind the 20 that Souness suggests Ameobi will get this season. Souness load of old bollocks again.
Of course Ameobi would be one of the best players in La Liga too wouldn't he.
Sima is right, and it's the same with Viana - a good manager would get the best out of them. Souness can't.

Sound performance with a few players performing above their norm against a less than average arse side. Second half was much improved on first 45 mins and we managed to challenge for the ball. This changes nowt for me, Souness will always be a total fuckwit.

Of course there is no guarantee that Hitzfeld wouldl succeed and it's far from certain that he will even come. Though, to compare someone who won the CL with two different teams and has been the most succesful manager in one of Europe's major leagues in the last decade with a Swiss nobody is plainly ridiculous.
I also don't know what is presumptuous in saying that Souness will fail. That is an assessment by his work over the last twelve months in charge and a string of poor results and poor performances. But of course, it looks very likely that he will be succesful. Is this a flying pig I see outside my window?

My position hasn't changed - of the managers on Freddies shortlist (and not any mythical one) I still think Souness was the best choice. If that changes and he will entertain the idea of a Hitzfeld then thats fantastic. If his next list starts Shearer, goes through Allarydyce and Bruce to O'Leary then I will have a similar view - none of them appeal.
We would be better off managerless than with this fuckwit. The negativity he has imposed on the players beggars belief!!!!!
I'm sure I made a post a year ago on the other board [or one of them] saying that fuckwit would strangle the soul out of the players ...didn't take much of a crystal ball either

Not a single player is truly worthy of a positive comment, SOUNESS has managed to beat the will to live out of most of them, let alone the desire to play for the TOON.

Bowyer, cos he's still determined and tenacious as ever, even though he only figured in the first half.

Today is the first time I've ever blamed a defeat on a referee. Two clear penalty decisions (Owen first-half & Shola second) and a goal not awarded. Baring in mind had the ref given the first penalty he'd have had to have sent-off the defender, we could have been looking at a comfortable win with a different referee and linesman.
How can you lay blame on the ref, yes there were 3 strange decisions, but there were some stranger ones by our fuckwit of a manager.

FACT is we were shit and will never improve until we are rid of this curse brought on by SOUNESS and his cronies. We just did not want the ball and when we got the ball did'nt know what to do with it. We played with fear in our hearts and it showed on every NUFC players face.

Well I have and I can tell you that however brilliant someone is at their job when they start slagging off the management and the directors and then start feigning injury so they are not around its time for the 45 - P45 or Colt 45 - whatever it is required - the management (SBR, FFS & Souness) cut Bellamy a lot of slack but he wouldn't behave

Wierd...but when Hameobi came on today, a lot of things went through my mind.
The main one was remembering this, and the fact that fuckwit decided that Shola Ameobi was a better employee for Newcastle United than Craig Bellamy, along with Amdy Faye and Craig Moore being better than Aaron Hughes, not to mention recommending shitface model pro always injured Dyer being worth a new contract which is now costing us 80,000 quid a week.
AND if this manager employed this tactic and skillset on a regular basis AND he worked for me I'd have sacked him long time ago.

Totally agree, as long as this idiot is here we will have more days like these. If he can't organise a team and beat teams like Wigan with players like Shearer, Owen, Bowyer and Parker then there's something wrong. There were players out there today who he had payed nearly 35 mil for. Paul Jewell would rather have our first 11 to work with over his I bet and there beating us 1-0!
Im sick of all this injury shit, it's bollocks, in the meantime there is no reason why we cant play as team, move for each other and have a go at teams other than because of that useless twat and his backroom of cronies.

Starting with Faye ahead of others was stupid and despite having Owen and Shearer we play without enough width or attacking play, so i'm not happy with that, but...
The team Souness put out there did enough to earn two pens and a perfectly good goal, which the officials being fuckign twats decided not to give us, so i'm certainly not putting all the blame on Souness for this. I don't rate him but there's fuck all the bloke can do when his team create an opening for a pen to go 1-0 up, create one for a pen to equalise and score a goal to equalise.
I'm fucking sick to death of games in the prem being decided by the cunts in charge who are employed by neither team.
To be fair to the ref as hopeless as he was it is a hard job and often its swings and roundabouts with decisions. Yes the inconsistency is infuriating but it does happen to most clubs at stages over the season.
However one thing that is consistant is our managers ability to fail to pick up many points...
Indeed and as people know i don't rate Souness at all, but i'll blame him when its his fault (which in part it was) and when its the officials i'll blame them (which it mainly was).
And the problem with the "swings and roundabuts" or "evens itself out over the season" cliches is that they are a collosall lie! We get shafted for a whole season as do some other clubs, some end up with about the same for and against and then the likes of manu and the arse spend the season getting everything.
SOUNESS has his excuses, we should not make them for him.
The team looked totally pissed off right from the kick-off, Now that's a harmonious and happy dressing room.

Stuttered to the finish line in 2003? Sorry even if the performances might not have matched those of the previous season the team was still up for a top place throughout the whole season. Until this heartbreaking 2-6 against ManUre came.
In some ways that result was more of a blow than the Belgrade game - the 7 or 8 games after that were were poor and that continued generally into the next season..
Results and finishing position do count but there wasn't that much difference between the last two seasons in terms of overall "excitement" or "satisfaction". Something like 11 points and 9 places don't really matter to me - I think we've been in a rebuliding phase for two years.
If anyone honestly thinks the "3rd top" team were only a couple of players away from being higher they're dreaming imo.
3rd top is 3rd best at the time. The table doesn't lie.
Then 5th top is 5th best.
We have gone backwards since and anyone who can't see or accept that is dreaming imo. Any manager with 50m to improve a squad that was 5th top ....

As I said, you should have said 2 years ago we needed to totally re-build our team/squad. You didn't, and neither did anyone else, for the simple reason we didn't think we needed to. If he cannot improve on 5th for all this money he is out, but don't say some of us didn't tell you when the full financial cost becomes apparent of his reckless actions, rather than making excuses for him. At least Terry Macs appointment as a spin doctor hasn't been in vain.
If Souness buys players who are always getting injured, the buck stops with him for appointing the training and medical staff. Likewise if he buys players who are constantly crocked anyway. When you are talking in figures of 50m quid to buy footballers for the club, there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever.
How much time and money does the fuckwit need. He's had £50 Mill +++ and we just got shafted by Wigan this afternoon, Wigan were crap, we were more crap.
Not one of our players looked as though they wanted to be on the pitch, maybe they all wanted to be back in the happy and harmonious dressing room that SOUNESS has created.
