1. We are continually served up shit masquerading as football.

5000 travelling fans must feel they were robbed, and I am so relieved I was on hols when they were selling the tickets for the match.

I wasted £7 on sky sports watching total crap.

This crap manager does not have a clue, why was Faye in the starting lineup etc etc etc.

    SOUNESS MUST GO.

  2. Really, chummy?

I'd swop Parker,Emre,Owen and Solano any day for bellamy and robert. If he'd got rid of ameobi I'd call it a terrific job. Problem is, like a number of people on the forum, you are obsessed with your dislike for souness and you can't see the possibilities that these players bring to the Toon. Luque I don't know much about but  I'm keeping my fingers crossed. You.....keep on whining as I don't believe you want us to be  successful if Souness is manager. That's pretty sad just to be able to say I told you so.

    42661

Me too, ıf forced i,d swap, but why not keep bellers,

the FACT is no matter how good the squad of players at his dısposal, souness will tactically cock it up, because he,s a TFD

İ am sure we all want the toon to be successful with or without souness, İMO without would be better.

  3. I cant comment because I could only catch brief highlights of this game.

Firstly id like to applaud Shay Given, a top performance by him.

Back to Souness, he hasn’t shown a lot of great things as manager. He has made intelligent buys, but anyone who knows football would have bought the right players - however, lets not take that away from him.

I think he has made the right buys to setup the team the way he wants.

Boomsong needs to step him and not make his comical errors (didn’t see him in the Pompy game so don’t know how good he was). Carr seems to be a decent player, I would imagine a new LB as Babayaro clearly is a tad inconsistent and not up to the mark. Perhaps a good CB, maybe for the 1st team or a young bright prospect would stiffen up your defense.

His midfield setting is just about perfect. Keeping the 4-4-2 in mind he has one out and out DMF in Parker, Emre who is a solid midfielder with a lot of experience at club and International level and can play box-to-box, supporting second DMF or OMF. Luque is a bright buy for the left flank and Solano still has a season or two in him.

The only problem is the one you are facing now. When these players are injured there is no one to step in. We have adequate cover, Manu have adequate cover, Arsenal dont and that’s why they are barely scraping their wins and lets not even get into Liverpool because I know so much about Rafa's plans that I could post 20 pages on it.

So, as there is no one to step in, Souness is forced to switch things around in cue with the players at his disposal. That explains the team performances. I think he should be given at least 5 games with all players fit before anyone passes a judgment on him. Now, if it takes 5 months to get those players fit then its another ball game all together.

If he is around, and is allowed to do his do. Then I would imagine the summer to bring in 1 striker, 1 CB, 1 midfielder and any young prospect if on cheap.

    ------------Sherar-------OWen

    --Luque-----Parker-----Emre-------Solano

That’s as good a midfield and front 2 as any. You have a top keeper and your defenders aren’t duds by any standards (but I do think you need at least ONE colossal defender)

You will start getting results, its just a matter of time.

    Best wishes

Man of the Match for me ıs Shay Given

İ did watch the whole game and we were crap

Souness lets us down every time and unlıke Y İdo not believe Souness will improve with the squad of players he has at his disposal no matter how long you give him.

  4. to say there is no contest is stupid!

when luque is fit we will see, otherwise you dont know!

    34970

    stupid twat yourself.

I have seen a player I think will be a top player, simple as that, and one who gives me doubts.

    35001

As I said in my previous post the only player that I can pass judgement on is N'Zogbia, like LM I too see a top drawer player but Luque leaves me with doubts. I have only 30 minutes to formulate an opinion of Luque, have you anything better to offer NUFC1984? In that 30 minutes Luque was awful.

  5. Blackburn have this season made it very difficult for any team to play good football in a game. Find me an entertaining Blackburn game this season and I'll find you a real unicorn.

We've come away winning 3-0 at a ground we've never won at in the Premiership, with an injury hit side, and finishing the game with 10 men.

    34995

I agree, thankyou MR SOURNESS for making it all possible, the injuries, the results so far and of course your tremendous tactical skills.

Still can't wait to see the back of him.

  6. Given - 8 - excellent

Carr - 5 - still not good enough

Babayaro - 5 -still not good enough

    Boum - 5 - average

    Taylor - 7 - unlucky, model player

    Bowyer - 6 - steady

    Clark - 7 - sound

Faye - 5 - average, played better today but still not good enough

    Zog - 8 - top goal

    Owen - 7 - will get better

Shearer -6 - useful, but lacks the cutting edge.

  7. Got to be N'Zogbia for me if only because I've seen more of him to be able to pass judgement.

I would not be able to give an honest opinion on Luque because I've only witnessed about thirty minutes of him playing for the Toon.

IMO in that 30 minutes he looked poor but can't judge his level of fitness etc. TBH SOURNESS put him in the team and we will never know if he was 100% fit, not with SOURNESS' ideas of a fit to play team member. The injury he limped off with was not the one he came back carrying from international duty, or was it?

  8. Strange day. I took a long train travel to see this game. The first half was awful. No it wasn't awful, it was close to Conference league football.

I was watching the game with a couple of lads from Newcastle and we were all in agreement that another 45 minutes like this and Souness would be out of job the next day. It probably was the worst game of football I have seen for a very long time.

Then we were in agreement again. The 1-0 was a mixture of shear anger and desperation. It was a fantastic well taken free kick, make no mistake about it, but it came totally out of the blue, because nobody was expecting it. The next goal was also well taken, and Zoggies last one was brilliant.

It was a good win and I really hope the team goes from strenth to strength now. I don't mind if it is with Souness or not. Though, but was with todays performance? For over 60 minutes it looked worse than a conference team. A lucky free kick, a cross and a counter attack changed everything. Looking at the squad you think with the likes of Emre, Solano and Parker it would have looked different anyway.Still, I am really sceptical after todays performace. A great win, but probably just an eye teaser. I do think Souness is hanging from game to game. Today 2/3 were plainly rubbish, if the team is building on a win then great, but I never, never want to see anything like the first half again.

    34905

You saw much the same game as me, mostly crap with tree flashes of excellence.

I agree it was a good win, and a very important must win result, but unlike you I would much rather us go forward without SOURNESS. Apart from the three goals there was little else available to us. In the first 60 minutes, we were still fearfull of crossing the halfway line and still playing non-tactical football of 8:2. Granted as the goals came we relaxed and were more stable even with 10 men.

I would be much happier if SOURNESS was not part of our future plans.

  9. The common 'word' in a lot of your posts is "hope"....

Sadly, that's all we can do. We can 'hope' that he is replaced, but I doubt he will be. As people have said, they think he should have gone at various points during last season, during the summer and during the start of this season....he wasn't, and what's to suggest that Fat Fred is suddenly gonna change his mind now??

I'd like him replaced now, but I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if he's still in charge for the last game of the season.

    34601

Sure, you're right, but there's is little hope for us with Sourness, I have the mat out every night, and I HOPE and PRAY that the FF does the sensible thing and gets rid of Sourness, the only concern is , who will be next.

  10. Yeah, that was a good achievement, but mind you, the season they finished 6th, they did have a pretty strong team. The sad thing is he then sold most of the best players and replaced them with crap players, which is why so many Blackburn fans hate him.

    34459

And he has much better players at his disposal now after his own transfer activity. I reckon he should at least be given a chance with those players.

    34461

WHY, WHY, WHY, how many chances does this fuckwit need to destroy NUFC.

Rightly he has signed a few top players but he has also signed some crap players, and at what cost, you cannot live in the past, the day SOURNESS took over he should have been measured on his performance. I hear fans saying wait until after the Manure game, that's when his season starts, does it now begin after the Blackburn game? NO, NO, NO it's already over for me, he'll never ever get it right.

The better players at his disposal, where are they? They are injured. Now why is that? I can't answer that but SOURNESS should be able to answer that, the buck stops at his door.

  11. The toon fans won't chant for Bellamy if he scores, well maybe one or two but not audible as he doesn't play for us now.

What they should do is chant "Souness out" or "Bellamy was right, Souness is shite" Anything that hastens Fat Fred into savign this club from the one man disaster we have in charge.

    34560

I'll be there tomorrow and I'll be 100% supporting the Toon, but anything that curses Sourness and rids the Toon of this fuckwit I'll be 100% supporting that.

  12. How many spectators do you think you would get at St James' if you had to pay at the turnstiles for each game?

My guess is that it would be substantially less than we get at the moment, especially to watch some of the rubbish that has been served up over this and last season. Sourness has seen to that.

    Bring back the ENTERTAINERS!!!

  13. Terry Mac- what a load of old bollocks, you could never write propaganda like that, it can only have been written by some expensive PR machine to try and quell further disharmony of the fans when we reach the bottom of the pit on Sunday. It might even be Saturday because the Makems just might win at home and that would leave us bottom, God fecking help us.

Why don't you just get off with the rest of the cronies that SOURNESS has brought to this club and hopefully never return. Terry Mac your words are just one big pile of shite.

  14. COPIED from another POST

And as for PL suggesting that Sourness is deliberately setting out to destroy the club, well I ask you guys do you really believe that PL even suggested it, if you do you're more naive than I even thought you might be?

Like PL I'm so angry at the mention of Sourness' name, or when I see his photo I feel a great deal of hatred. I don't think any of us believe that Sourness is acting maliciously by destroying NUFC, he's just making a damn good job of it. I honestly don't think Sourness is even aware of the damage he is doing, he's not that clever.

Like most of us by now we must be praying for the day that Sourness is gone, I get the mat out every night in the hope that one day soon..........?

  15. I expect Souness to last the season because when we have a fully fit team it will virtually pick itself and I am sure it will do well.

But Saturday showed up the stupidity of the man in glowing technicolour.

To pick a midfield that included two defensive minded midfielders (with the more defensive minded one playing in front of the one who can actually attack) and a defender at home against a team like Fulham is criminal even with our injuries.

Even if Bowyer wasn't fully fit (and if that was the case he shouldn't have even been on the bench as that puts pressure on you to play him at some point) Clark and N'Zogbia should have started in the midfield (even if it ment playing Clarkie on the right wing) or even Brittain who is at least a right midfielder!

Faye shouldn't even be allowed to own any boots let alone get on the pitch.

Barring an amazing healing for Emre, Dyer and Luque and Parker somehow managing to get his red card recinded, I have no doubt we will be subject to another stupid team selection on Sunday and we will probably have to suffer Bellamy ramming it down Souness's throat.

    31620

Sounds about right to me. On paper we've got a good side. Until that appears on the pitch though, it's Amdy Faye. A panic buy to provide extra cover for the AOB/Bramble jokeshop in the absence of a functioning Butt, I hope. That's the only logic I can come up with. The other signings have been generally okay when they play, though it's always been "but we've got this on paper".

One things for certain, GS can't get much out of a weakened side.

    31752

That is just not quite true, IMO he could'nt get much out of afull strength side.

And as for PL suggesting that Sourness is deliberately setting out to destroy the club, well I ask you guys do you really believe that PL even suggested it, if you do you're more naive than I even thought you might be?

  16. There was a good number of the NUFC faithfull fooled, at least 20,000 plus who turned up to endorse the Owen signing and 50.000 plus on Saturday. I would be one of the first to endorse the signing of Owen but what a master stroke by the MIB at St James', a perfect smoke screen, we were waiting with excitement and the anticipation of our first win this season. What we all failed to remember was, who is in charge of team affairs, Mr Fuckwit of course. We are doomed if we continue with the current regime of Management and backroom staff.

  17. I wonder what Bowyer, Clark and N'Zogbia made of the teamsheet when it was posted.

Happy dressing room my arse, proper players well I ask you honestly, Sourness is a brainless piece of crap masquerading as a football manager.
