Just something new for me,

more of a utility guitar i guess,

well i tried about 35 + guitars on the day and this was the nicest,

a tried 3 Italia guitars,

3 Gibson SG's

6 Jacksons

11 Ibanez

a couple of epiphone semis

and a few Fenders

and this was the best :icon_lol:

awesome sounding guitar, just sounds so different! Its a Joe Satriani model too,

I never even knew that at first  (kind of)

I was going to ask, thought it looked like one but I've never bothered with this stuff for ages.

My mate bought a JS1 and a Gem.

Fretboard wanktastic.

Yeh its a self indulgence thing for sure :icon_lol:

Case was £70 & guitar was £480

Got home and played it properly tonight.

Superb whammy madness :icon_lol:

gonna get some Dimarzios to stick on it next

Yeah, they'll fatten up the sound a fair bit. I found Ibanez to be a bit like a Gretsch in that they were both very tinny sounding (more so the Gretsch). The Ibanez' seem to have a bit more attack to them and the Dimarzio's will add a bit more grunt. Are you replacing them all or just the bridge pickup? Dual Coil bridge pickup and keep the neck as it is?

Edit: All this talk of Whammy madness and I've had to put Surfing with the Alien on - a live version at that. Satch sure knows how to bend a harmonic :)
