I guess he doesn't have to be exceptional to be an improvement, but he still needs to be better than what we have.

 

His size and presence will be a bonus, but ONLY if he's got the positional sense and hopefully organisation talents to go with it.

 

Personally I'd be going all out to try and resign Woodgate in the summer, but whether he'd come for almost any realistic amount I dunno.

Apparently Fulham had a 1.25m bid accepted earlier this month. A deal in the similar region for a big lad would at least be a nice change instead of splashing millions on big names.

Sounds like we're getting him on loan though.

Loan with an option to buy, which doesn't make the price worse in case we sign him later if he turns out to be decent :lol:
