Ah, 3-1 loss at SJP with two new strikers looking dangerous with one leaving the field injured when they were well and truely on top and neither having played a competitive game with their new team before! Yesterday's match was basically an abortion, painful to sit through, especially the second half. Of the two sides, Villa impressed more tbh and probably deserved at least a draw. We've had some flukey results recently when you consider our performances (this one and Spurs spring to mind), which is nice, but it can't last. Housemate is a Villa fan and says that he can an improvement in the standard of play from the younger lads, he also points to their form at the start of the season up until Luke Moore got injuired. At that point they had to switch from the 4-3-2-1/4-3-3 hybrid that was working well for them, back to an orthodox 4-4-2. I wasn't even saying he will definitely go on to win a cache of trophies at Villa, simply advising to give him a little more time than you have.
