Not that keen tbh. The aggressive way they planned to use Liverpool to make a fortune and then get shot of them as a short-term investment doesn't sound like the basis for anything good.

 

Agreed, this is just the sort of take over bid I fear.

Don't trust those Arabs lads, saying that, I don't fancy the Yank. doing my head in all this.

 

Given the setup you lot have in place I'd be wary of anyone coming in tbh. It's not like you're miles off the pace and incapable of winning trophies as things stand.

very true. its a question of balance and contacts in the world of football directorships.

 

look at arsenal, they have on the board a load of wheeler dealers that get revenue for them and get paid reasonable retainers based on what they actually bring in to the club (thats one of the reasons why they are an attractive proposition, because they have people grafting away making sure they are represented globally and get revenue in from around the world).

 

the board we have generates a bit of cash, but its peanuts compared to the big boys. also the board are quite happy to take their slice of the profits with (IMHO) scant regard for the wellbeing financially of the club.
