I've got one of them, had it 18 months now. Works really well, has basically all the features of sky plus but in a freeview box. I would recommened HUMAX as their guide is easily the best ive seen on freeview so far.

Always good when people ask for advice and then completely ignore it tbh

I didnt ignore it. Took it on board then went for a device within budget.

Gimp.

I'm not aware of that particular brand tbh

Right anyone know anymore good deals?

4 times trying to get sky installed and again got told they can't put it up different stories from everyone who has been out so leaving it for this year.

Got myself a cheap free view box at the weekend to make sure I got a good enough reception but will be looking to get a hard drive one in the near future.

Ive used them maybe half a dozen times and theyve been spot on, no problems.

try a google search for reviews of them.

Cool, just wanting a review from someone I know.

Whats the EPG like on the Humax ones?

I got the Sagem version 1.5 years ago, it's cheap but has severed me well, only down side is the EPG is really slow as only goes 48 hours ahead no series link either, although i'd probably struggle to get a freeview one with a EPG on par with Sky

ive got a panasonic dvd-recorder

only works with the re-writeable dvd it came with

tried a number of different dvd disk company and none work

Absolute shite, mine completely gave up recording anything after a year, though I don't really need it now that I've got Sky+.
