How cheeky...?

Recommended Posts

How cheeky was Bolton's attempt to put Kevin Doyle off yesterday when he went to take his penalty?

Giannakopoulos pulled a balloon out of his sock, blew it up, then a Doyle ran up to take his kick, stamped on it. BANG! :nufc:

Didn't work like

...

pulled it out of his sock? did it not just happen to have blown onto the pitch?

wouldn't have thought he'd have got aay with standing like a fucking lemon blowing up a balloon while Doyle is waiting to take the peno

From today's Guardian:

Kevin Doyle, refusing to be distracted by Stelios Giannakopoulos stamping on and popping a newly inflated balloon nearby as he shaped to kick, equalised from the penalty spot after Abdoulaye Meïté's needless foul on him, and then chested down Seol Ki-Hyeon's cross for his second.

Not the first time a sportsman has hidden something in his sock. I can remember when Terrell Owens played for the San Francisco 49ers, he kept a marker pen down his sock. When he scored a touchdown he's autograph the ball before throwing it into the crowd :D
