Tudor eyes England move

By Peter ORourke - Created on 16 May 2007

Skysports.com understands Croatian defender Igor Tudor is hoping to win a move to England.

Tudor is looking for a new club after leaving Juventus in January and he has his heart set on a switch to the Premiership.

The 29-year-old defender is back to full fitness after recovering from a serious ankle injury and he is looking to try his luck in England.

Tudor has a wealth of experience having played at the highest level for club and country and he has been a long-term target for several English sides.

The defender's availability on a free transfer makes him an attractive proposition and the news has alerted a number of clubs.

Tudor's UK representative Phil McTaggart has admitted the classy defender is keen to make the move to the Premiership.

"Igor is now back fully fit and he is raring to go again," McTaggart told skysports.com.

"He is keen on trying his luck in the Premiership and he feels the time is right to give it a go.

"He is a quality player who has played at the very highest level and he would suited to English football.

"He is available on a free transfer and there are a few clubs interested in him."

Has he lost his place at Juve to Boumsong? If that's the case it can't be a positive sign!

He had a bad injury. And I think he's out of contract.

Fair enough, you can understand my concern though :D

He's always looked a canny enough player when I've seen him like.

Aye he's not going to be able to fill all eleven positions on his own. It just wouldn't be fair.
