UMDs basically a rip off, why pay £15 to watch a film (of which most of the DVDs are in offers for under £10) on a tiny screen?

I don't understand

UMD's are just Sony doing what Sony does. They have to try and bring out their own format for everything, they cant just use the standard. Wankers.

Movie conversion is a piece of piss once you have a play with the software. What I cant believe is that people have actually bought programmes to do this , one is no. 3 top seller on play, when there's better ones available for free. www.pspvideo9.com is all you need, the software even supports AVC which is one of the main reasons for upgrading to v2 of the firmware

khay, take your Untold Legends back and trade it for Ridge Racers, tbh I'd take NBA street back too. Hot shots golf is a lot better than tiger woods, unless you really want to play as tiger..

Surely its for people on the move ? you would watch them in the house would you ? as for the price, they are cheaper on Ebay, or you can rip you DVDs to a memory stick instead.

Well yes, but unless I was never at home I'd want to watch films on a large screen. I certainly wouldn't want to watch a film for the first time on a little screen, nor would I re-buy a film i already had to watch it again on a train.

But then I'm not really the kind of person who'd want to watch all but the very best films more than once. And I rarely watch films on my own, so maybe that slants my viewpoint.

Does that also let you rip a DVD on to your PC into the right format or would i need someone else to allow me to rip my DVDS on my PC first?

you'd need something else, theres tutorials in the forum section iirc. It leads by the hand through it all so its really easy

Got virtua tennis yesterday. Its as good as I hoped it would be. More or less the same as the Dreamcast version which is a good thing, a very good thing.
