Does any one get the distinct feeling were going to be let down again. Two week ago we were all rejoicing at the prospect of a major take over and ousting fat boy, we all thought we were going to get Millions to spend, then a couple of week later reality strikes.

1. We cant even afford Barton

2. Fat Fred is digging his heels in and is probably going to scupper the proposed take over, or at the very least let it drag on and ruin any chance in the Transfer Market.

3. Most of our proposed targets are Free, or unknown and cheap. Any decent targets we may have had now have other clubs interested because we are too slow. Why can this club never do anything positive ?, theres always a sting in the tail.

we can't afford barton? good he's a prat

we're signing a decent international quality centre back, it's incredibly early to be doing so for us the transfer window isn't even technically open yet and we're making signings and it's still possible/probably the takeover will happen before the summer is out

this is the best preseason we've had in years already

We havnt signed anyone yet and my post wasnt about Barton as a player it was about an obvious lack of funds.

Seriously though, what has changed on the balance sheet? Ashley has bought some shares, he officially only has 41.6% and therefore doesn't have the necessary muscle to plough his money into a transfer kitty at this moment in time.

We're playing with the same money (i.e. not much at the moment) that we had before we ever heard of Mike Ashley.

Your third point is being controlled by the second. Until Fred agrees to sell, we're playing a waiting game.
