Newcastle's debt?

I'm not sure if I missed this at some point during all the excitement but what is Laura's plan for the club's current debt or have they not released a statement on what they plan to do?

Isn't it somewhere between 70 and 100m pounds?

I realise the loan that covered St James' redevelopment is secure in it repayment terms but we all know the debt run up by the fat man was growing and growing.

Also the ground expansion are they borrowing again against the club or is the cheque book out?

(The Leeds article just got me wondering???)

I was under the impression it was in the region of £80m

Chris Mort:

“The debt that has accumulated at the club is too high. We will bring that down and we will look to address it very quickly. Mike has bought the club and he has asked me to run it for him. It’s going to be a huge challenge, but it’s one I relish.”

So self sufficant?

They must have a plan and half, especially seeing Laura's the sort of investor that makes 30m euros off an 8 week in adidas.

And skol, I though it was the clubs debt as isn't it effectively the casino plan without the casino?
