But there's just too much wrong with that side of his game for him ever to be anything but a liability. Just a shame Woodgate's brain can't be put into his body (although that would leave the scary issue of Bramble's brain in Woodgate's body ). He was here far too long without improving. Every season there was hope that he might put his idiotic defending behind him only to be disappointed by about the 3rd match in.
